Methods of fluorescent probing, spectrophotometry and microcalorimetry were applied to investigate the alterations in biophysical parameters of erythrocytes membranes, and specifically microviscosity, surface charge, molecular organization of lipid bilayer and lipid-protein interactions under conditions of acute pain syndrome produced by experimental chemical lesion. The distinctive features of non-opiod analgesics interactions and binding to the erythrocytes membranes of rats subjected to acute nociceptive pain accompanied with oxidative stress development were investigated. The abilities of analgesics under research, and namely paracetamol, aspirin, phenazone, ketorolac, pyrodazole, ketoprofenum, natrium mefenaminate, indometacin, nimesulide to make up physico-chemical complexes with lipoperoxidation modified erythrocytes surface and protein-lipid bilayer showed marked changes.

Current approaches to the treatment of herpes infection, particularly Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), include the use of etiotropic medicines, as well as sensitizing therapy. This virus plays an important role in the etiology of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, adenocarcinoma of the parotid glands, gastric carcinoma, Burkitt's lymphoma and lymphoproliferative syndromes [1, 2, 3]. The spectrum of drugs active against EBV remains very limited, and gancyclovir and acyclovir are used in medical practice, so the search of new compounds active against EBV remains urgent.

Study of influence of new antitumor preparations bifolar and chlofiden on rat liver protein biosynthesis in vivo and on sarcoma-45 in vitro was carried out using labeled precursor 3H-leucine. It was shown that the preparations inhibited protein synthesis in normal and malignant tissues. Mitotic cycle and its phases were investigated with 3H-tymedin.

Effectiveness was studied of a new drug amyzonum in a complex therapy of mumps in 149 patients versus the group of 177 patients having been treated with conventional methods only. A positive effect was shown of the drug on clinical indices, with the incidence of complications having gotten lower, biochemical indices having returned to normal.

Efficacy was studied of a new anti-inflammatory interferon-inducing drug preparation amizon in a combined therapy of epidemic parotiditis in 118 patients versus the group of comparison consisting of 147 patients. A positive effect was ascertained of the drug on clinical parameters, decrease in the incidence rate and in severity of complications (orchitis, pancreatitis), immune indices.
