Introduction: Two-Dimensional ultrasound (2DUS) has been the preferred screening method for fetal abnormalities for several decades. Three-dimensional ultrasound (3DUS) is a technique that converts standard 2D grayscale ultrasound images into a volumetric dataset which allows visualization of the fetus in all three dimensions at the same time. It provides an improved overview and a more clearly defined demonstration of adjusted anatomical planes.

Fourteen undescribed monoterpenoid indole alkaloids, voacafrines A-N, along with 7 known monoterpenoid indole alkaloids were isolated from the seeds of Voacanga africana Stapf. Among them, voacafrines A-G were aspidosperma-aspidosperma type bisindole alkaloids, while voacafrines H-N were aspidosperma-type monomers. Their structures and absolute configurations were elucidated by a combination of NMR, MS, and ECD analyses.

The phytochemical study of Euphorbia resinifera afforded 18 structurally diverse diterpenoids, including 14 new ingol-type diterpenoids, euphorblins A-N (1-14), a new rhamnofolane diterpenoid, euphorblin O (15), and three known analogues (16-18). The structures of these compounds were deduced using 2D NMR spectroscopy and NOE experiments. The structure of compound 1 was confirmed by single-crystal X-ray crystallography.
