Background: The benefits of Interdisciplinary Rehabilitation in an Outpatient Specialised Unit (IROSU) have not been determined.
Objectives: To compare the effects of IROSU and physiotherapy in the community on impairment, function and Quality Of Life (QoL) in people with Multiple Sclerosis (pwMS) and to determine the medico-economic impact.
Methods: Pragmatic, multicentre, parallel, randomized (centralised computer-generated randomisation) controlled trial.
: The prevalence of portopulmonary hypertension (PoPH) is relatively low; however, its presence significantly worsens patients' prognosis. When diagnosed, PoPH can be effectively treated, and specific therapies can lead to a substantial reduction in pulmonary circulation pressure, facilitating the safe performance of liver transplantation. Echocardiography is recommended as a first-line method for the non-invasive diagnosis of pulmonary hypertension and serves as a valuable screening tool for patients being evaluated for liver transplantation (LT).

It was found that CeF₃ ions undergo no significant changes upon dissolution in the NaCl-KCl melt. In contrast, the dissolution of EuF₃, both individually and within the CeF₃-EuF₃ system, is accompanied by redox reactions leading to the formation of Eu⁺.

It is the most frequent cause of hospitalisation in children aged under 2 years and sometimes requires transfer to intensive care. Infectious complications may also arise in the short term, and longer-term progression towards asthma is also possible.

As was inferred from the X-ray diffraction analysis, these surfactant-free and surfactant-capped nanocomposites are -AsS-bearing nanocrystalline-amorphous substances supplemented by an iso-compositional amorphous phase (a-AsS), both principal constituents (monoclinic -AsS and cubic FeO) being core-shell structured and enriched after wet milling by contamination products (such as nanocrystalline-amorphous zirconia), suppressing their nanocrystalline behavior. The fluorescence and magnetic properties of these nanocomposites are intricate, being tuned by the sizes of the nanoparticles and their interfaces, dependent on storage after nanocomposite fabrication.

The present paper demonstrated the heights of the migration energy barriers of native point defects throughout the AlN/GaN heterointerface, as well as the corresponding profiles of energy bands calculated by means of density functional theory. Both neutral and charged nitrogen, gallium, and aluminium vacancies were studied, as well as their complexes with a substitutional III-group element.

The current GaN-on-diamond integration technology requires precise interface engineering and appropriate interfacial layers. In this respect, we performed first principles calculation on the stability of diamond-GaN interfaces in the framework of density functional theory.

Here, a simple dip-coated planar polymer emitter derived from polysilazane, which exhibits strong selective emissivity in the atmospheric transparency window of 8-13 μm, is demonstrated. The 5 μm thin silicon oxycarbonitride coating has an emissivity of 0.

We investigated which formula of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) based on simple blood sample had the best correlation with the gold standard in malnourished adolescent patients with AN.
Methods: A prospective study was conducted on 34 adolescents hospitalized for the restrictive type of AN between 2014 and 2017.
The purpose of our study is to establish if the proportion of patients diagnosed with anorexia nervosa that have a history of excess weight has increased over a 10-year period and to study how different premorbid weight groups vary in terms of clinical characteristics. We performed a single-center, retrospective cohort study of all new patients presenting with anorexia nervosa, restrictive and binge/purge subtypes, in 2004 and 2014 at the Adolescent Medicine Clinic of Sainte-Justine University Health Centre (n = 172). The prevalence of excess premorbid weight was similar in both cohorts (32% in 2004 versus 29.

Previous observations indicate a higher prevalence of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular risk factors in patients with VTE and CTEPH. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the arterial stiffening assessed by pulse wave velocity (PWV), a marker of arterial stiffness, in CTEPH patients in comparison with a matched control group (CG).

Error in performance is an example of a motivationally significant internal event that evokes autonomic nervous system response resembling the orienting response: heart rate deceleration, increased skin conductance response, and pupil dilation. Here, we investigate whether error-related cardiac activity may serve as a source of information when making metacognitive judgments in an orientation discrimination backward masking task.

The secondary objective was to study the sleeping behavior of a large sample of adolescents from different socioeconomic backgrounds.
Methods: Study subjects were high school students studying in or around Paris with a general, vocational or technological training background.
Purpose: Although primarily a mental health disorder, anorexia nervosa (AN) has many physical consequences. Among them, the consequences on kidney function are often underestimated. We evaluated renal function in adolescent AN inpatients and investigated the correlation between the GFR and intrinsic patient characteristics.

These geometrical structures model the meanings of the predicates of the object language and have a similar structure as the conceptual spaces employed by cognitive scientists like Peter Gärdenfors. I show how the development of the theory of conceptual spaces helps us to see the addition of attribute spaces as a step forward in explicating the concept of confirmation.

The disease displays large variability in age of onset or severity and very poor phenotype/genotype correlations have been demonstrated. We investigated the hypothesis that phenotype severity could be related to the variable expression level of fibrillin-1 (FBN1) synthesized from the wild-type (WT) allele.

Their presence at a given concentration indicates the specific tax rate and determines the usage of fuel. The removal of these so-called excise duty components, which is known as fuel "laundering", is an illegal action that causes a substantial loss in a government's budget.

Methods: Cross-sectional study in three multicenter emergency departments receiving adolescents in Île-de-France conducted in 2010. All adolescents completed a questionnaire including the ADRS (Adolescent Depression Rating Scale, a screening questionnaire for depression) and a series of questions relating to somatization and risk behaviors.
Purpose: This study aims to estimate the prevalence of depressive symptoms among adolescents seen in hospital emergency departments and to investigate the concordance between self-reported adolescent depression and parental perceptions of their adolescents' health status.

All adolescents completed a questionnaire including the Adolescent Depression Rating Scale (ADRS) and a series of questions concerning somatisation and risk behaviours.
Differences in tax levels for diesel oil stimulate the illegal removal of characteristic diazo compounds purposely added to designate its possible usage. In order to reduce the losses in the national income, there is a strong need to develop a sensitive and cost-effective analytical procedure for the detection of this illegal action. In this study, we describe a novel analytical approach for a qualitative and quantitative determination of two diazo compounds (Solvent Yellow 124 and Solvent Red 19) that are usually added to diesel oil.
