[How did the survival of acute myeloid leukemia change over the last ten years in our unit?].

Introduction: Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a hematological malignancy with high mortality rate. The treatment is especially challenging in patients older than 65 years, which is the large majority of those. For patients unfit for intensive chemotherapy regimens, only palliative cytoreduction and basic supportive care used to be the options in our unit.
