Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) poses a growing global health challenge, contributing to significant morbidity, mortality, and economic burden. In Malaysia, the prevalence of diabetes is increasing, especially among low-income populations with limited access to healthcare. This report describes the epidemiology of cases of foodborne illness, the causative agent and risk factors associated with an outbreak in a boarding school in Seremban district, Negeri Sembilan state, Malaysia, that occurred in November 2021.
