Background: Adjuvant treatment of malignant melanoma has improved the outcomes for patients. However, real-world data on efficacy and safety are limited. We investigated outcomes of melanoma patients treated with adjuvant immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) in the Ghent University Hospital.

Management of datasets that include health information and other sensitive personal information of European study participants has to be compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679). Within scientific research, the widely subscribed'FAIR' data principles should apply, meaning that research data should be findable, accessible, interoperable and re-usable. Balancing the aim of open science driven FAIR data management with GDPR compliant personal data protection safeguards is now a common challenge for many research projects dealing with (sensitive) personal data.

The accuracy of MRI for the diagnosis of ramp lesions.

Objectives: To assess the diagnostic accuracy of MRI in diagnosing ramp lesions in patients with an acute lesion of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).

Materials And Methods: All consecutive patients over 15 years of age who underwent surgical repair of the ACL at a single hospital between January and May 2019, with MRI data available, were included in this retrospective study, except patients who had previous knee surgery. The gold standard was arthroscopic evaluation.

What Is the Relationship Between the Distal Semimembranosus Tendon and the Medial Meniscus? A Gross and Microscopic Analysis From the SANTI Study Group.

Background: Some authors have suggested that the semimembranosus tendon is involved in the pathophysiology of ramp lesions. This led us to conduct a gross and microscopic analysis of the posterior horn of the medial meniscus and the structures inserted on it.

Hypothesis: (1) The semimembranosus tendon has a tendinous branch inserting into the posterior horn of the medial meniscus, and (2) the meniscotibial ligament is inserted on the posteroinferior edge of the medial meniscus.

Alternative air-liquid interface method for inhalation toxicity testing of a petroleum-derived substance.

-based new approach methodologies (NAMs) provide a pragmatic solution to animal testing of petroleum substances and their constituents. A previous study exposed an in vitro model (A549 cells) at the air-liquid interface (ALI) to assess inhalation toxicity of a single compound, ethylbenzene. Purpose/hypothesis: The primary aim of this study was to determine the concordance between pain elicited upon ALL palpation and ALL injury diagnosed by ultrasonography (US).

Efficacy and toxicity of sorafenib in patients with adenoid cystic carcinoma of the head and neck: a case series of five patients.

Introduction: Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) of the head and neck is a rare malignancy of the salivary glands that accounts for approximately 10% of salivary gland carcinoma. Despite aggressive local therapy, local recurrence and distant metastases occur frequently.
