Assessment of National External Quality Assurance Programme of Pakistan as a tool for improving quality of lab results among participating laboratories.

Objective: To assess the impact of the National External Quality Assessment Programme of Pakistan NEQAPP in improving the quality of laboratory results among the participating laboratories.

Methods: The cross-sectional observational study was conducted from July to December 2020 at the Department of Chemical Pathology and Endocrinology, Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Rawalpindi, Pakistan, in association with the National Quality Assurance Programme of Pakistan. A survey questionnaire was developed and sent to the participating laboratories via email.

Targeted Next-generation Sequencing for Reliable Detection of Genetic Status in Breast Cancer.

Objective: To test the germline oncogenic mutations in BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes, associated with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) patients under study, by targeted sequencing of their DNA with next-generation sequencing (NGS) platform.

Study Design: Cross-sectional observational study.

Place And Duration Of Study: Histopathology Department, Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) Rawalpindi, Pakistan from May to June 2020.
