- Rats were treated with varying doses of CE.Cr and compared to a standard treatment (atorvastatin), with assessments of blood markers and aorta health conducted after 28 days.
- The results indicated that CE.Cr has significant anti-obesity, antihypertensive, and anti-atherosclerotic effects, highlighted by improved lipid profiles and reduced blood pressure, along with the presence of beneficial compounds identified through HPLC analysis.

Highest anti-inflammatory activity was exhibited by chloroform (AMC) extract (74.96% inhibition) while other two active fractions being n-hexane (AMH) and ethyl acetate (AME) exhibited 71.
