Background: Vaccine effectiveness for first-generation coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccines among People Living with HIV (PLHIV) in India remains unexplored. This study entails the estimation of the real-world effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines (AZD1222/Covishield, BBV152/Covaxin) among PLHIV and the identification of variants of SARS-CoV-2 among those infected with COVID-19.
Methods: An ambi-directional cohort study was conducted among 925 PLHIV above 18 years of age in two districts of central Kerala, India, from February 2022 to March 2023.
High local delivery of anti-infectives to the lungs is required for activity against infections of the lungs. The present pandemic has highlighted the potential of pulmonary delivery of anti-infective agents as a viable option for infections like Covid-19, which specifically causes lung infections and mortality. To prevent infections of such type and scale in the future, target-specific delivery of drugs to the pulmonary region is a high-priority area in the field of drug delivery.

Azobenzene exhibits a major Hückel aromatic character retained in the diradical lowest relaxed triplet state (T ) by virtue of a twisted geometry with partial delocalization of unpaired electrons in the perpendicular p-orbitals of two nitrogen atoms to the corresponding phenyl rings. The computational analysis has been expanded further to stilbene and N-diphenylmethanimine for an extensive understanding of the effect of closed-shell Hückel aromaticity in double-bond-linked phenyl rings.

Tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4) is a multifunctional co-factor of various enzymes and a substantial amount of studies have shown BH4 as a key regulator in the synthesis of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, nor-epinephrine as well as dopamine. The imbalance of BH4 may affect neurotransmitter production which can lead to many abnormalities in CNS. This article reviews the role of BH4 in neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders.

It is predominantly the number of PBIs and their geometric arrangement, which influence dramatically their properties. For example, two-PBI containing cyclophanes reveal physico-chemical characteristics that are governed by strong co-facial π-π interactions.

Herein we show that the surface-induced strain field intrinsically present in nano-systems can self-stabilize this phase and the hexagonal to orthorhombic phase constitution ratio depends on the shape of the nanomaterial.
