A simple chemical route has been applied for the preparation of quasi-spherical silver (Ag) nanoparticles (NPs) with average diameter of 265 and 8 nm. The as prepared products were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and UV-vis absorption spectroscopy. Ag NPs immobilized on glassy carbon (GC) electrode showed a superior electrocatalytic activity for the reduction of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in aqueous medium.
