Rapid industrialization and consumption of fossil fuels have led to considerable progress in the production of renewable biofuels like bioethanol. Lignocellulosic biomass such as grasses serves as cheap feedstocks for the production of bioethanol. However, the process involved in lignocellulosic bioethanol production is expensive which restricts its industrial production.
