Objective: To investigate the role of dopamine receptor DDR and DDR in the production of cytokines interleukin-6 (IL-6) and IL-1β by monocytes and macrophages in patients with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (MS).
Material And Methods: Ten patients with relapsing-remitting MS and 10 healthy subjects were examined. The level of IL-6 and IL-1β production was assessed in culture supernatants obtained from CD14 monocytes or macrophages stimulated with interferon-γ (IFN-γ) and lipopolysaccharide (LPS).
Aim: Based on data from the Russian REGION-IM registry, to study the features of reperfusion therapy in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) in real-life clinical practice.
Material And Methods: REGION-IM is a multicenter prospective observational study. The observational period is divided into 3 stages: during the stay in the hospital and at 6 and 12 months after inclusion in the registry.

Objective: To study the effect of fluoxetine on Th17- and Th1-immune response, which plays an important role in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis (MS).
Material And Methods: Ten patients with relapsing-remitting MS and ten healthy subjects were examined. The functions of Th17- and Th1-immune responses were assessed by the production of cytokines interleukin-17 (IL-17) and interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) by CD4 T cells stimulated with macrophages or microbeads coated with anti-CD3 and anti-CD28-antibodies.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic demyelinating and neurodegenerative disease of the central nervous system with an autoimmune mechanism of development. It is known that along with T- and B-lymphocytes, cells of the innate immune system also play a significant role in the pathogenesis of MS. Macrophages are central to the functioning of the innate immune response and, depending on the phenotype, have pro-and anti-inflammatory properties.

This study aimed to clarify the role of the β-adrenoreceptor in the norepinephrine-mediated modulation of interleukin-17 (IL-17) and interferon-γ (IFN-γ) production, which play a critical pathogenetic role in MS. View Article and Find Full Text PDFWhole genome sequence from Acinetobacter baumannii isolate Ab-46-1632 reveals a novel KL144 capsular polysaccharide (CPS) biosynthesis gene cluster, which carries genes for d-glucuronic acid (D-GlcA) and l-rhamnose (l-Rha) synthesis. The CPS was extracted from Ab-46-1632 and studied by H and C NMR spectroscopy, including a two-dimensional H,C HMBC experiment and Smith degradation. The CPS was found to have a hexasaccharide repeat unit composed of four l-Rhap residues and one residue each of d-GlcpA and N-acetyl-d-glucosamine (D-GlcpNAc) consistent with sugar synthesis genes present in KL144.

Objective: To investigate the direct effect of D-like dopaminergic receptors antagonist on Th17-cells function in multiple sclerosis (MS) .
Material And Methods: Forty-one relapsing-remitting MS patients and twenty-five healthy subjects were examined. The functional activity of Th17-cells was assessed by the ability to produce IL-17 and IFN-γ by peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and CD4 T cells, stimulated with microbeads coated with anti-CD3/anti-CD28-antibodies.
Aim To study features of diagnosis and treatment of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) in Russian hospitals, results of the treatment, and early and late outcomes (6 and 12 months after AMI diagnosis); to evaluate the consistence of the treatment with clinical guidelines; and to evaluate patients' compliance with the treatment.Material and methods The program was designed for 3 years, including 24 months for recruitment of patients to the study. We investigated the effects of fluoxetine and serotonin (5-HT) on the pro-inflammatory Th17- and Th1-cells in 30 patients with relapsing-remitting MS and 20 healthy subjects. Fluoxetine and 5-HT suppressed IL-17, IFN-γ and GM-CSF production by stimulated СD4 T-cells in both groups.

The Aim Of The Study: Was to evaluate the effect of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor fluoxetine on the production of cytokines interleukin-6 (IL-6) and interleukin-1β (IL-1β) by dendritic cells in multiple sclerosis (MS).
Material And Methods: 5 patients with relapsing-remitting MS and five healthy subjects were examined. Levels of IL-6 and IL-1β were measured by ELISA in culture supernatants obtained from lipopolysaccharide stimulated dendritic cells.
An increase of multiple sclerosis (MS) incidence has been reported during the last decade, and this may be connected to environmental factors. This review article aims to encapsulate the current advances targeting the study of the gut-brain axis, which mediates the communication between the central nervous system and the gut microbiome. Clinical data arising from many research studies, which have assessed the effects of administered disease-modifying treatments in MS patients to the gut microbiome, are also recapitulated.

Biogenic amines are key mediators of neuroimmune interaction and may influence on multiple sclerosis (MS) pathogenesis and MS course. At the same time, the role of biogenic amines in immunoregulation of early stages of demyelination, in particular clinically isolated syndrome (CIS) and radiologically isolated syndrome (RIS) is still unclear. This literature review addresses a role of norepinephrine in the regulation of neuroimmune interactions in the early stages of the demyelination.

A comparative analysis of the results of the therapeutic programs (2 groups of patients) has shown advantages of the therapeutic program using COPP or CVPP chemotherapy programs for inducing remission which when combined with splenectomy and radiotherapy makes it possible to achieve 5-year survival in 86.6% of children.
