Acral lentiginous melanoma (ALM) is an uncommon melanoma type among Caucasions. ALM bears an unfavorable prognosis because of late presentation or common misdiagnosis. Amelanotic variants, albeit rare, may pose an additional clinical challenge and may further delay the diagnosis and treatment.
