Golay complementary waveforms can, in theory, yield radar returns of high range resolution with essentially zero sidelobes. In practice, when deployed conventionally, while high signal-to-noise ratios can be achieved for static target detection, significant range sidelobes are generated by target returns of nonzero Doppler causing unreliable detection. We consider signal processing techniques using Golay complementary waveforms to improve radar detection performance in scenarios involving multiple nonzero Doppler targets.

Women who inject drugs require gender-specific approaches to drug rehabilitation, modification of risk behaviors, and psychosocial adaptation. Improved outcomes have been demonstrated when the specific needs of women's subpopulations have been addressed. Special services for women include prenatal care, child care, women-only programs, supplemental workshops on women-focused topics, mental health services, and comprehensive programs that include several of the above components.

We studied the relationship between anemia and chronic diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract in patients with CHD. Patients with CHD and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) had the lowest hemoglobin levels and erythrocyte counts in the absence of pronounced independent effect of GERD. This finding suggests common pathogenesis of CHD, GERD and anemia in patients with coronary problems.

Aim: To compare clinical response to captopril (capoten) vs benazepril (lotensin) in patients with chronic cardiac failure (CCF) as well as their influence on central hemodynamics, some indices of platelet hemostasis, myocardial ischemia degree, exercise tolerance.

Material And Methods: 54 patients with CCF (NYHA FC II and III) entered the trial. 26 patients received captopril (capoten) in a dose 25-75 mg/day (group 1) while 28 patients were given benazepril (lotensin) in a dose 5-30 mg/day for 4 weeks (group 2).

Viscosity and elasticity of the cardiovascular system are assessed by a new method based on evaluation of correlations between deposit properties of the left ventricular chamber, aortic wall and vascular resistance in different parts of the arterial tree. This method examines individual hemodynamic characteristics of healthy untrained persons and hemodynamic changes due to regular training.

The data on the study of the spread of HIV infection among injecting drug users in St. Petersburg, carried out by the method of the random testing of blood remaining in used syringes, are presented. Injecting drug users visiting buses working in accordance with the program "Buses for Assistance to Drug Addicts" were chosen as a study group.
