Managing diabetes is challenging due to the complex physiology of the disease and the numerous complications associated with it. As part of the ongoing search for antidiabetic chemicals, marine algae have been demonstrated to be an excellent source due to their medicinal properties. In this study, extracts were investigated for their anti-diabetic effect by examining its inhibitory effects on α-amylase, α-glucosidase, and DPP-IV and antioxidant (DPPH) potential in vitro and its purified fraction using animal models.

Here, the authors have developed a magnetosomes-based biosensor for the rapid, sensitive, specific and cost-effective detection of from food sample. Magnetosomes were extracted from RJS1 and then directly bound to anti-Listeriolysin antibody (0.

Here, anticancer drugs were functionalised with magnetosomes membrane by direct and indirect (via crosslinkers: glutaraldehyde and 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane) adsorption methods. The prepared magnetosome-drug conjugates were characterised by Fourier transform infrared, zeta potential, field-emission scanning electron microscope and thermogravimetric analysis/differential scanning calorimetry.

The present study was designed to evaluate the toxic effect of discharged tannery effluent (TE) on model agricultural crops, ecofriendly microorganisms, and human blood cells. The phytotoxic effects of TE tested on Allium cepa and Lemna minor revealed inhibition of root growth and significant reduction in number of fronds, protein, and chlorophyll content.

In topical years, the deployment of secondary metabolites from plant extract has emerged as a novel technology for the synthesis of various nanoparticles. In this paper, we have studied the potential of SnO2 nanoparticles assembly using agricultural waste source for the first time.
