Two New Eremophilane-Type Sesquiterpenoids from Japanese Liverwort Bazzania japonica.

Two new eremophilane-type sesquiterpenoids, fusumaols A (1) and B (2), were isolated from the stem-leafy liverwort, Bazzania japonica collected in Mori-Machi, Shizuoka, Japan. Their structures were established using extensive spectroscopic (IR, MS, and 2D NMR) data, and the absolute configuration of 1 was determined by the modified Mosher's method. This is the first time eremophilanes have been discovered in the liverwort genus Bazzania.

Risk factors for major limb amputations in diabetic foot gangrene patients.

We analyzed the clinical picture of diabetic foot lesion patients to investigate the risk factors for major limb amputations. The subjects were 210 diabetic foot lesion patients treated at our department over the past 9 years. The mean follow-up period was 604.

[48XXYY Klinefelter's syndrome with recurrent foot ulcers: a case report].

A case of 48XXYY Klinefelter's syndrome diagnosed with foot ulcers, in a 43-year-old man, is reported. He presented to the Department of Dermatology in our hospital with the chief complaint of recurrent foot ulcers. He was referred to us because of atrophic external genitalia.
