Objective: To investigate the relationship between post-traumatic growth, morbidity stigma and readiness for discharge in post-operative thyroid cancer patients.
Methods: 422 post-operative thyroid cancer patients from three tertiary care hospitals in Hunan and Tianjin were surveyed using the General Information Questionnaire, the Post-traumatic Growth Scale, the Readiness for Discharge Scale, and the Social Influence Scale.
Results: Discharge readiness positively predicted the level of post-traumatic growth in thyroid cancer patients (P < 0.
The opportunistic pathogen infects cystic fibrosis (CF) patient airways and produces a virulence factor Cif that is associated with worse outcomes. Cif is an epoxide hydrolase that reduces cell-surface abundance of the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) and sabotages pro-resolving signals. Its expression is regulated by a divergently transcribed TetR family transcriptional repressor.

However, resistance inevitably occurs to third-generation EGFR-TKI. This study describes the real-world characteristics, efficacy, and safety of treating post-progression NSCLC with 160 mg of furmonertinib (in combination with or without anti-angiogenic agents and chemotherapy) with third-generation EGFR-TKIs.

In the endocrine system, these adverse effects mainly include hypophysitis, thyroiditis, hypoadrenalism, and rarely, diabetes mellitus. The most common symptoms in the skin are pruritus, rash, and infrequently, eruptive keratoacanthoma.

Rearrangements of the anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) gene account for 5-6% in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). ALK rearranged NSCLC is sensitive to ALK tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) but prone to drug resistance. Meanwhile, ALK rearranged NSCLC has poor response to single immunotherapy.

Methods: The clinical data of six patients with primary pulmonary lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma treated in Zhejiang Taizhou Hospital of Taizhou Enze Medical Center (Group) from May 2014 to December 2018 were summarized and analyzed. Combined with the relevant literature, the primary pulmonary lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma was analyzed retrospectively.
Results: The main manifestations of six patients were respiratory symptoms, and cough was the most common.

Purpose: To investigate the recovery of lung function and chest imaging in patients with COVID-19 three months after clinical cure and discharge and the correlation between them.
Methods: This study collected 80 patients diagnosed with 2019-nCoV infection who were discharged from the Taizhou Public Health Medical Center in Zhejiang Province between January 31, 2020, and March 10, 2020. Lung function examinations and lung CT scans were performed at discharge and three months after discharge.
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a leading cause of lower respiratory tract infections in infants and young children. Severe respiratory viral infection in early life is intimately associated with childhood recurrent wheezing and is a risk factor for asthma later in life. Although eosinophilic airway inflammation is an important trait in asthma of children, the roles of pulmonary eosinophils in the disease have been inadequately understood.

In this study, the pulmonary function results of patients after clinical medicine for three months were reported.
Objective: To investigate the effect of COVID-19 on lung function in patients.

PD-L1 is one of the current biomarkers for immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy in patients with non-small-cell lung cancer. However, the expression of PD-L1 in the real world and its related influencing factors remain unclear. We want to observe the expression of PD-L1 in the real world and study the related influencing factors through the collection and analysis of clinical data.

The underlying common mechanistic feature of all IS6 family members which have been investigated is that they appear to transpose by replicative transposition and form pseudo compound transposons with the flanking IS in direct repeat and in which associated genes are simply transferred to the target replicon and lost from the donor. In the accompanying letter Hall raises a number of very serious and wide-ranging criticisms of our recent review article concerning the IS6 family of insertion sequences.

Hence, the spread of cointegrate plasmids will accelerate the transmission of AMR genes. To evaluate the transmission risk caused by cointegrate plasmids, we investigated the structural diversity, fitness cost, and stability of a cointegrate plasmid in YZ6 and EC600.

Mefatinib is a novel, bioavailable, second-generation, irreversible pan-EGFR inhibitor. This phase Ib/II open-label, single-arm, multi-center study investigated the efficacy, safety, biomarker, and resistance mechanisms of mefatinib in the first-line treatment of patients with advanced EGFR-mutant NSCLC.

Progressive acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is the most lethal cause in patients with severe COVID-19 pneumonia due to uncontrolled inflammatory reaction, for which we found that early intervention of combined treatment with methylprednisolone and human immunoglobulin is a highly effective therapy to improve the prognosis of COVID-19-induced pneumonia patients. . Herein, we have demonstrated the clinical manifestations, laboratory, and radiological characteristics of patients with severe Coronavirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19) pneumonia, as well as measures to ensure early diagnosis and intervention for improving clinical outcomes of COVID-19 patients.

This study aimed to characterize LINC01089 in the pathogenesis of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). LINC01089 expression in LUAD tissues or/and cells and its association with the overall survival of LUAD patients was analyzed in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA)-LUAD database, by qRT-PCR or by Kaplan-Meier's curve.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe IS6 family of bacterial and archaeal insertion sequences, first identified in the early 1980s, has proved to be instrumental in the rearrangement and spread of multiple antibiotic resistance. Two IS, IS26 (found in many enterobacterial clinical isolates as components of both chromosome and plasmids) and IS257 (identified in the plasmids and chromosomes of gram-positive bacteria), have received particular attention for their clinical impact. Although few biochemical data are available concerning the transposition mechanism of these elements, genetic studies have provided some interesting observations suggesting that members of the family might transpose using an unexpected mechanism.
