Rapid urbanization and rising vehicular population are the main precursors in increasing air pollutants concentration which negatively influences the surrounding ecosystem. Roadside plants are frequently used as the barrier against traffic emissions to minimize the effects of air pollution. They are, however, vulnerable to various contaminants, and their tolerance capacity varies.

Air pollution is one of the major global environmental issues urgently needed attention for its control through sustainable approaches. The release of air pollutants from various anthropogenic and natural processes imposes serious threats to the environment and human health. The green belt development using air pollution-tolerant plant species has become popular approach for air pollution remediation.

Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates how different optimization techniques affect radiation treatment for patients with metallic hip implants using IMRT and VMAT methods.
  • A total of 16 patients were examined, comparing three sets of plans with variations in beam restrictions for radiation entry and exit around the implants.
  • Results showed that VMAT plans generally performed better than IMRT plans, especially when restricting beam entry, leading to improved dose distribution and fewer high-dose areas.

Background: CD10 plays a role in signal transduction pathway and regulation of cell growth apoptosis, and therefore, it has been evaluated in different malignancies. The present study was conducted to study the immunoexpression of CD10 in urothelial carcinoma and to correlate it with histological grade, pathological stage, and survival of patients.

Materials And Methods: The study included 51 cases of urothelial carcinoma diagnosed on histopathology along with 50 controls having nonneoplastic urothelium.

The thermo-chemical characterization (proximate and ultimate analyses and higher heating value) of banana trunk biomass waste has been carried out. The thermo-gravimetric and differential scanning calorimetric (DSC) investigations have been made at heating rates of 10, 15, 20 and 25 °C/min. The TGA data have been used to carry out kinetic analysis and evaluate the kinetic and thermodynamic parameters using iso-conversional models.

In an endemic country like India, the occurrence of filariasis is very common, especially in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. The present study describes the case of a male from a nonendemic state who presented with a testicular lump. Fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) of the lump revealed many adult filarial worms.

Background: Image-guided fine-needle aspiration has emerged as an effective diagnostic tool for precise diagnosis of deep-seated lesions. Although occasional studies have made an attempt to classify the gallbladder carcinoma on cytology, literature lacks the standardized cytological nomenclature system used for it. The present study was conducted to study the role of fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) in diagnosis of gallbladder lesions with an attempt of cytomorphological classification.
