Background: Junctional ectopic tachycardia is a serious complication of surgery for paediatric congenital heart disease. R-wave synchronized atrial (AVT) pacing, an innovative temporary pacing technique, restores atrioventricular synchrony in these patients. The method is highly effective but technically complex.
