Context: Inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) are associated with an increased risk of pneumonia in adult patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Objective: To assess the association between ICS use and risk of pneumonia and other respiratory infections in children with asthma.
Data Sources: We searched PubMed from inception until May 2015.

- The study aimed to evaluate how dietary extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) affects liver enzymes and fatty acid profiles in mice on a high-fat diet.
- Male C57 BL/6 J mice were fed either a control diet or a high-fat diet for 12 weeks, with some receiving different antioxidant-rich EVOO supplements.
- Results showed that the highest antioxidant EVOO significantly decreased liver fat accumulation and normalized oxidative stress and fatty acid levels, suggesting it may help prevent metabolic issues in high-fat diet conditions.
