Myopericytoma is a recently described hemangiopericytoma-like neoplasm with myoid differentiation. These tumors are typically located in the subcutaneous and soft tissues of the extremities. The authors report a rare pleural-based pulmonary myopericytoma in a 58-year-old woman.

Case Report: A 57-year-old woman presented with a 16-month history of a slowly growing mass in the medial aspect of her right lower eyelid. On radiologic examination, the mass was seen to extend into the anterior orbit. Initial attempt at excision was complicated by problems with hemostasis and only a portion was removed.

A 26-year-old man presented with high output heart failure and severe systolic left ventricular dysfunction. The underlying cause was determined to be thyrotoxicosis. With aggressive treatment of the hyperthyroid state, near-normalization of the patient's left ventricular systolic function was achieved.

Hürthle cell papillary thyroid carcinoma is a variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). Its pathologic and clinical significance has not been well documented. The authors studied the relative incidence of Hürthle cell PTC and the relationship of Hürthle cell PTC to other variants of thyroid carcinoma.
