Arisaema cum bile (known as Dan Nanxing in Chinese, DNX) is a herbal medicine used for treating febrile seizure (FS), which commonly prepared by using Arisaematis Rhizoma and animal bile. This study was designed to explore the optimal processing time of DNX and its potential mechanism on the anti-FS effect. A total of 17 volatile organic compounds (VOCs) were the characteristic ones to distinguish different fermentation stages of DNX by using gas chromatography-ion mobility spectrometry (GC-IMS), such as 2-heptanone monomer, and heptanal monomer.

How to use game elements to motivate users and influence their behavior has become a new research trend, which is vital for enhancing the willingness of potential platform users to participate in environmental protection. This paper aims to analyze the influence of incentive mechanism and fit degree on user's environmental behavior based on the stimulus-organism-response theory and self-determination theory. The questionnaire data of 500 users was collected and the impact of incentives on user's environmental behavior was analyzed by structural equation modeling.

Low-carbon agriculture is essential for protecting the global climate and sustainable agricultural economics. Since China is a predominantly agricultural country, the adoption of low-carbon agricultural technologies by local farmers is crucial. The past literature on low-carbon technologies has highlighted the influence of demographic, economic, and environmental factors, while the psychological factors have been underexplored.

Taxifolin (TXL), also known as dihydroquercetin, is one of the most important flavonoids prevalent across the plant kingdom. Increasing evidence has demonstrated its critical role in respiratory diseases. The present study aims to reveal the detailed mechanism in TNF-α-stimulated BEAS-2B cells by which TXL might exert effects on the development of asthma.

In this work, the frequency doubling effect of thermoacoustic speakers is studied, and a method is analyzed to suppress the frequency doubling effect. Three cases were analyzed by superimposing the DC bias on the AC excitation: (1) DC is less than AC; (2) DC is equal to AC; (3) DC is greater than AC. We found that the frequency doubling effect can be well suppressed by superimposing a larger DC excitation on the AC excitation.

Background: S100A12 is implicated in inflammatory reactions. The purpose of this study was to determine the association between serum S100A12 concentrations and 30-day mortality in patients with acute intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH).

Methods: We prospectively included 182 healthy controls and 182 ICH patients within 24h after stroke onset.

Background: Thioredoxin (TRX) is a potent anti-oxidant and its circulating concentration is increased in some critical illnesses. We measured the serum TRX concentrations and further investigated the relationship between serum TRX concentrations and hemorrhagic severity and outcome after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH).

Methods: A total of 218 ICH patients and 218 healthy controls were enrolled in this prospective, observatory study.
