The present investigation elucidates the isolation and characterization of bioactive compound from the ethanolic leaf extract of Andrographis lineata (EtALL) which suppress the differentiation of 3T3-L1 adipocytes. The ethanolic leaf extract was subjected to bioassay guided fractionation in 3T3-L1 cell lines. Five fractions were isolated from the EtALL extract by column chromatography.
