The Nipah virus (NiV) is an emerging pathogenic paramyxovirus that causes severe viral infection with a high mortality rate. This study aimed to model the effectual binding of marine sponge-derived natural compounds (MSdNCs) towards RNA-directed RNA polymerase (RdRp) of NiV. Based on the functional relevance, RdRp of NiV was selected as the prospective molecular target and 3D-structure, not available in its native form, was modelled.

Therefore, interventions of shifting to trench planting for better root anchorage and replacing the filling soil were evaluated for 8 years in dragon fruit () cultivated in Deccan Plateau of peninsular India. When averaged for last 5-years, 44 % higher fruit yield (18.

The central hyperactivity symptoms are confusion, behavioral problems, hallucinations, myoclonus, and insomnia; the autonomic hyperactivity symptoms are hyperhidrosis and variations in blood pressure; and peripheral hyperexcitability is characterized by painful cramps, myokymia, and neuromyotonia. Here, we present a case that has typical features of Morvan's syndrome and provides a brief description based on available literature.

In the present study, natural lysine (amino acids) was surface-grafted onto one-dimensional (1D) TiO nanofibers (NFs) through an epoxy ring opening in which the 3-glycidyloxypropyl (dimethoxy) methyl silane was used as a coupling agent. Chemical binding and morphological studies, such as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy, were conducted to confirm the successful grafting of lysine onto the TiO NFs.

Among a few potential natural operators valuable for MEOR, biosurfactants, biopolymers and biosurfactant based nanoparticles assume key jobs. Biosurfactant which are produced by microorganisms' act as are surface active agents that can be used as an alternative to chemically synthesized surfactants.

Methods And Materials: A total of 94 patients of cervical cancer stage IIB-IVA underwent image-based transperineal interstitial brachytherapy without tandem (ISBT) or with tandem (IC-ISBT) between June 2008 and June 2018 at our institution. After pelvic chemoradiation, 42 patients underwent ISBT and 52 IC-ISBT.
Herein, the authors reported a carbon dots mediated synthesis of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) at room temperature. Transmission electron microscopy revealed that the AuNPs are spherical in shape with a size of 10 nm. As-prepared AuNPs was immobilised on carbon paste electrode and subjected to electrochemical sensing of an important neurotransmitter dopamine.

Adsorption can be used as effluent polishing step to reduce phosphate to very low concentrations. Adsorbent reusability is an important parameter to make the adsorption process economically feasible.

Different nano-structures of noble metals have been the conventional substrates for carrying out Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS). In this paper we examine electrodeposited copper (Cu) nano-structures on pencil graphite as novel substrate to carry out SERS measurements by considering l-cystine (Cys-Cys) (dimer of the amino acid cysteine) as the probe. The formation of monolayer of the probe molecule on the substrates was confirmed using cyclic voltammetric measurements.

In the present study, the efficiency of degradation of both LMW and HMW-PAHs by cytochrome P450 monooxygenase (CYP) of microalgae was studied. CYP have a key role in the detoxification of xenobiotics.

Aim: Aim of the study was to detect the level of comprehensive diabetes control among the diabetic patients of Kerala, India.
Method: Patients (1200) were randomly selected from a diabetes care center. Their blood sugar and other biochemical and anthropometric measurements were done and statistically analyzed.
Herein, we present a simple and green method for the synthesis of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) using the phytoproteins of spinach leaves. Under ambient sunlight irradiation, the isolated phytoprotein complex from spinach leaves reduces the gold chloride aqueous solution and stabilizes the formed AuNPs. As prepared nanoparticles were characterized by UV-visible spectroscopy, Fourier transform infra-red (FTIR) spectroscopy, zeta potential, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDS).

Such a unique assembly certainly enables realizing the advantages of using 1D nanostructures in practical LIBs, irrespective of the anode or cathode in the presence of gelled polyvinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene as the separator-cum-electrolyte. Outstanding cycling profiles with high power densities were noted for all the configurations evaluated.
