The World Health Organization defines healthy ageing as 'the process of developing and maintaining the functional ability that enables well-being in older age'. This functional ability is the characteristic of the individual's own physical and mental status influenced by the environmental and socio-economic factors. Preoperative preparation of the elderly patients includes functional assessment to identify preexisting cognitive impairment or cardio-pulmonary reserve, frailty, nutrition, polypharmacy and anti-coagulation issues.

Odontogenic keratocyst with granular cell changes: A distinctive finding.

Odontogenic keratocyst (OKC) originates from the dental lamina and is more commonly seen in the posterior mandible than in the maxilla. OKC is the most aggressive cyst of the oral cavity and is known for its rapid growth and its tendency to invade bone of the adjacent tissues. The recurrence rate of OKC is very high due to various reasons debated upon.

People with HIV/HBsAg in India frequently encounter discrimination while seeking and receiving health care services. The knowledge and attitudes of health care workers (HCWs) influences the willingness and ability of people with HIV/HBsAg to access care, and the quality of the care they receive. The objective of this study was to asses HIV/HBsAg-related knowledge, attitudes and risk perception among students and dental HCWs.
