Background: Multiple human studies have shown no significant long-term results of anesthesia exposure during early childhood compared to the general population; however, reports on short-term neurodevelopmental assessment before and after anesthesia exposure are limited. This study aimed to evaluate the short-term characteristics of neurocognitive function post-anesthesia in noncardiac surgery compared with baseline.

Methods: This prospective case-control pilot study recruited healthy participants in the control group and hospitalized children in the anesthesia group.

Early detection of developmental delay provides opportunities for early intervention. The Developmental Assessment for Intervention Manual (DAIM) is the simplified screening tool for detection of developmental delay in Thai young infants implemented country-wide by the Ministry of Public Health since 2015. Unlike standard assessment tool, DAIM can be obtained by lay staff or parents and takes less time.

Objectives: Viewing electronic media at mealtime is a common coping strategy for feeding difficulties, but its impact on food consumption is not known. We studied the prevalence of electronic media use at mealtime, its association with food intake, and associated factors.

Methods: 138 healthy 18- to 30-month-old children were classified according to the presence of feeding difficulties using the Thai language version of the Montreal Children's Hospital Feeding Scale.

Objective: To study parental perception of risk for household injury in children younger than six years in both continuity clinic and outpatient unit.

Material And Method: Sixty-six caregivers of children who attended continuity care clinic and outpatient unit were included in the present study. Data was obtained by questionnaire that contained questions regarding injury prevention awareness in four areas in the house.
