In Vitro Cone Beam CT Analysis of the Efficacy of Three Supplementary Steps In the Removal of Obturation Material in Endodontic Retreatment.

Objectives: To evaluate and compare the efficacy of XP-endo Finisher R (FKG Dentaire, Le Locle, Neuchatel, Switzerland), EDDY (VDW Dental, Munich, Germany), and passive ultrasonic irrigation (PUI) as supplementary steps following the D-RaCe retreatment file system (FKG Dentaire) in the removal of root canal obturation material using cone beam CT.

Materials And Methods: A total of 45 two-rooted permanent maxillary first premolars were selected. Following access preparation, cleaning, and shaping with Hero Shaper (Micro Mega, Besançon, BFC, France) rotary file up to 25/04%, thermoplasticized obturation was performed with TotalFill BC sealer (FKG Dentaire) and gutta-percha.

Background: Misophonia, a condition characterized by heightened sensitivity and strong emotional reactions to specific sounds, has sparked considerable interest and debate regarding its underlying auditory mechanisms. The study aimed to understand the auditory underpinnings of two such potential inner ear systems, non-linear and linear outer hair cell functioning along with auditory efferent functioning in individuals with misophonia.

Methods: 40 ears with misophonia (20 participants) and 37 ears without misophonia (20 participants), both having normal hearing sensitivity were included in this study.

Probiotic potential of lactobacillus strains isolated from sorghum-based traditional fermented food.

Sorghum-based traditional fermented food was screened for potential probiotic lactic acid bacteria. The isolates were identified by biochemical, physiological and genetic methods. Species identification was done by 16s rRNA sequence analysis.

A total of 14 Azotobacter strains were isolated from different paddy cultivating soils with pH ranging from 6.5 to 9.5 by using serial dilution agar plate method.
