Introduction And Importance: Left pulmonary artery sling is an uncommon condition observed in infants. The severity of the condition is determined by the compression of the broncho-tracheal tree induced by the ring sling compression. The main goal of the treatment is to adjust the left pulmonary artery and eventually relieving the compression through surgery.

Tetralogy of Fallot with unilateral pulmonary anomalies such as the unilateral absence of pulmonary artery or unilateral pulmonary agenesis is an extremely rare complex congenital heart anomaly. There is no established surgical algorithm for tetralogy of Fallot with concomitant unilateral pulmonary anomalies. This condition is still challenging, especially in the surgical field.

Background: Severe pulmonary regurgitation may result in right ventricular volume overload and decreased right ventricular function. Severe pulmonary regurgitation can be predicted prior to repair of tetralogy of Fallot. The aim of this study was to determine the risk factors for severe pulmonary regurgitation in repaired tetralogy of Fallot with transannular patch.

The inflammatory response following the use of cardiopulmonary bypass shows similar clinical signs with sepsis. Therefore serial measurements of procalcitonin, an early infection marker, can be helpful to differentiate between sepsis and systemic inflammatory response syndrome.
