Background: This study aims to investigate the influence of different kidney biopsy practices on the prevalence of glomerular pathologic patterns in the largest kidney biopsy registry in Thailand.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective review of kidney biopsy records from the period between 2000 and 2014. The records were obtained from 2 major institutions: King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, a large university-based hospital, and the Kidney Center Bangkok Hospital, which provides pathology services to hospitals throughout Thailand.
Background: There is a very high prevalence of subclinical vitamin K deficiency in patients requiring hemodialysis (HD), and this problem is associated with vascular calcification and arterial stiffness. Vitamin K2 (MK-7) supplementation can improve vitamin K status in HD patients. However, the benefits of vitamin K supplementation on arterial stiffness have still not been established.

Background: There is no consensus on intravenous (IV) iron supplement dose, schedule, and serum ferritin target in functional iron deficiency anemia to maintain optimum target levels of iron stores by several guidelines.
Objective: To examine the effect of IV iron supplementation to different targets of serum ferritin on erythropoietin dose and inflammatory markers in chronic hemodialysis (HD) patients with functional iron deficiency anemia.
Design: A multicenter, randomized, open-label study.
Background And Objectives: Sarcopenia is common in hemodialysis patients. This study examined whether the anabolic steroid oxymetholone improves muscle mass and handgrip strength in hemodialysis patients and possible mechanisms that might engender such changes.
Design, Setting, Participants, & Measurements: Forty-three eligible hemodialysis patients were randomly assigned to ingest oxymetholone or placebo for 24 weeks.
Background: Multiple lines of evidence have indicated that the dose of hemodialysis (HD) affects patient outcome. According to K-DOQI, daily spKt/V > 1.2 predicts the morbidity and mortality among thrice-weekly HD.
