Aim: This study aimed to use the Index for Preventive and Interceptive Orthodontic Treatment Needs (IPION) in high caries children and to investigate the IPION components that differentiate level of preventive and interceptive orthodontic treatment need (P&I Tx need).

Methods: A sample of 202 children (8-9 years of age) was randomly selected from the schools in urban and rural areas in Songkhla Province, Southern Thailand. A case of initial esophageal atresia and tracheoesophageal fistula in a female newborn, later complicated by pneumonia and a second bronchoesophageal fistula, is reported. She was treated surgically by closure of the tracheoesophageal fistula and by end-to-end esophago-esophageal anastomosis. An esophagram at 1 month of age was normal.

The clinical presentation of TSH-secreting pituitary adenoma in an 11-year-old boy is reported. Hyperthyroidism, signs and symptoms of increased intracranial pressure with the elevation of TSH, T3, T4 were the clues for suspecting this disorder. Bilateral carotid angiogram was performed which disclosed a suprasellar mass, and pituitary surgery was performed.
