The aim of this study was to compare the functional and radiographic outcomes of arthroscopic single-bundle anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) using either the anteromedial (AM) portal technique or transtibial (TT) technique. We identified 404 patients who underwent arthroscopic ACLR by a single surgeon between January 2006 and December 2016 at our institution. The TT portal was utilized in femoral tunnel drilling in 202 patients (TT group) while the AM portal was used in 202 patients (AM group).

Obstetric traumatic separation of the distal humeral epiphysis is a very uncommon injury, which presents a diagnostic challenge. These case serials reviewed the functional outcomes of 5 patients who had sustained a fracture-separation of the distal humeral epiphysis at birth. The diagnosis was made at a mean time of 40.

Background: Periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) continues to be one of the leading causes of failure following hip and knee surgery. The diagnostic workflow of PJI includes detailed clinical examination, serum markers, imaging and aspiration/biopsy of the affected joint. The goals of treatment are eradication of the infection, alleviation of pain, and restoration of joint function.

Purpose: Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is a challenging procedure in patients with a high body mass index (BMI). The aim of our study was to assess the outcome and accuracy of restoration of mechanical alignment in TKA using patient-specific guides (PSG) involving patients with high BMI.

Materials And Methods: Patients with BMI of 30 or above were enrolled in the study.

Simultaneous bilateral presentation of psoas abscess with prosthetic joint involvement is extremely rare. A 68-year-old woman presented to us with bilateral dull aching groin pain of 6 months' duration, which flared up in the past month, associated with pyrexial symptoms. She had undergone bilateral hip replacements in the past with uneventful recovery.

Introduction: A discoid medial meniscus is a rare pathology of the knee joint, and is even rarer when it presents bilaterally with clinical symptoms.

Case Presentation: We present the case of a 38-year-old female with symptomatic bilateral discoid medial meniscus. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) showed complete discoid meniscus in one knee and incomplete, on the other side.

Purpose: The role of total knee arthroplasty (TKA) in acute tibial fractures with existing comminution/bone loss, osteoporosis or preexistent arthritis has been described in the literature. Many of these procedures necessitate the use of stems to off-load the component and augments/wedges to avoid overresection and hence restore the joint line. Conventional methods may not be consistently accurate in restoring the desired alignment within 3° of the anatomical axis in this complex scenario.

The incidence of open bicondylar Hoffa fractures is extremely rare. We report one such case of a 42-year-old woman who presented to the emergency department with an open injury over the knee. Imaging revealed bicondylar Hoffa fracture.

Introduction: Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease characterized by progressive erosion of the articular cartilage. The sites of erosion of articular cartilage have been reported, but no explanation for this particular pattern has previously been suggested.

Aims: To analyze the gross features of lesions, together with their frequency of occurrence and situation, and wear relationship with individual body profile.

Over the years, management of complex distal radius fractures by closed means has often failed leading to late collapse. We have chosen the principle of ligamentotaxis using external fixation and bone grafting in this study to prevent late complications. Eighty one patients with complex distal radius fractures belonging to Type IV A, IV B, IV C of Universal classification were treated with an AO external fixator between 1995 and 2001.

Purpose: To compare outcomes of 3 fixation modalities for scaphoid non-union.

Methods: 27 men and 6 women aged 20 to 48 (mean, 28) years with non-union of the scaphoid involving the proximal pole (n=13), waist (n=12), and distal pole (n=8) were randomised to undergo the Herbert screw fixation (n=11), the Matti Russe bone grafting (n=9), or the Kohlman modification of vascularised muscle pedicle graft procedure (n=13). The mean duration of non-union was 10 (range, 6-30) months.

Background: Rubber band syndrome is a rare condition seen in younger children in communities where rubber bands are worn around the wrist for decorative purposes. When the band is worn for a long duration, it burrows through the skin and soft tissues resulting in distal edema, loss of function, and even damage to the neurovascular structures. Recognition of this syndrome at the earliest can prevent catastrophic events.

Objective: This article displays the normal and variant anatomy of the coronary arteries and subjacent cardiac veins using a high-resolution 64-MDCT scanner.

Conclusion: Knowledge of the anatomy of the coronary arteries and subjacent cardiac veins as displayed with maximum intensity and volume-rendered projections is important for correct image interpretation of coronary CT angiography examinations.

Background And Purpose: On the basis of limited available data, brain MR imaging abnormalities in kidney transplant recipients (KTRs) have been predominantly attributed to calcineurin inhibitors (CIs), characteristically presenting as posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES). The goal of this study was to evaluate whether CIs play an important role in the incidence, nature, and location of MR imaging brain lesions in adult KTRs by comparing them with dialysis-dependent patients.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 98 brain MR imaging examinations in 77 consecutive KTRs presenting with neurologic symptoms from 1990 to 2003.
