Background: Natural history and disease progression in patients with Idiopathic Parkinson's Disease (PD) is quite heterogeneous. Autonomic dysfunction occurs commonly among Idiopathic PD patients. Heart rate variability and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring are used to assess cardiac autonomic dysfunction.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTuberculosis (TB) of pancreas is a rare presentation in both immune-competent and immune-suppressed patients. Its presenting clinical features are usually vague and non-specific, while radiological features mimic other common pancreatic conditions such as malignancy, so it is often misdiagnosed. It commonly involves the head and the uncinate process of the pancreas.

Methods: A total of 18 918 individuals (aged 42.6 ± 11.
The present paper reports trends in office blood pressure (BP) measurement (OBPM) and ambulatory blood pressure measurement (ABPM) with age in a large multi-center Indian all comers' population visiting primary care physicians. ABPM and OBPM data from 27 472 subjects (aged 51 ± 14 years, males 68.2%, treated 45.

Background: Diabetes mellitus is a major predisposing factor for coronary artery disease. Prognosis for diabetic population patients presenting with coronary artery disease who undergo coronary revascularization is inferior to non diabetics and remains an independent risk factor of restenosis, need for revascularization, and overall mortality.
Setting: Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP), Delhi, India.
Objective: To ascertain the number and sequence of providers visited by TB patients before availing treatment services from DOTS; to describe the duration between onset of symptoms to treatment.
Study Design: A cross sectional, qualitative study.
BACKGROUND, Drug-eluting stents have enabled considerable reduction in restenosis in patients subjected to angioplasty. However, in view of high cost of drug-eluting stents, efforts to develop medicated stents at reduced cost using alternative polymers in Indian setting are imperative. Hence a multi-center study was undertaken to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the indigenously developed paclitaxel-eluting RELEASE-T stent.

LLP derivatives (eLLPs) were engineered for greater potency against Staphylococcus aureus (SA) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA). Minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) was determined in low and physiologic salt concentrations.
