An osteoid osteoma (OO) is a benign bone neoplasm, characterized by significant nocturnal pain that usually responds to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It occurs most commonly in the lower extremities and vertebrae. Here, we present a case of carcinoma prostate, who was referred to our department for 68 Ga-PSMA PET/CT scan, and we incidentally found out PSMA-avid OO involving frontal bone of skull, which is a rare finding.

However, few cases of isolated urinary bladder metastasis have also been reported. Here we report a case of 63-year-old man, a known case of left RCC (clear cell type), post left nephrectomy, who was on regular clinicoradiological follow-up.

Objectives: Complex congenital heart defects that present earlier in life are sometimes channelled in the single ventricle pathway, because of anatomical or logistic challenges involved in biventricular correction. Given the long-term functional and survival advantage, and with the surgeons' improved understanding of the cardiac anatomy, we have consciously explored the feasibility of a biventricular repair in these patients when they presented later for Fontan completion. We present a single institution's 10-year experience in achieving biventricular septation of prior univentricular repairs, the technical and physiological challenges and the surgical outcomes.

Methods: Retrospective medical record review of infants with tetralogy of Fallot undergoing corrective or palliative procedures between January 2016 and June 2019.
Results: The study included 120 infants; of whom 83 underwent primary complete repair, four underwent surgical palliation, and 33 underwent catheter-based palliation, including balloon pulmonary valvuloplasty (n = 18), right ventricular outflow tract stenting (n = 14), and stenting of the patent arterial duct (n = 1).
Objective: We sought to evaluate the association between low birth weight (LBW) and outcomes following neonatal cardiac surgery in a low-income and middle-income country setting where LBW prevalence is high and its impact on surgical outcomes is undefined.
Design: Single-centre retrospective cohort study.
Setting: Referral paediatric hospital in Southern India PATIENTS: All neonatal cardiac surgical cases between January 2011 and December 2018.
Apicocaval juxtaposition (ACJ) is a rare form of viscerocardiac malpositions in association with single-ventricle congenital heart defects. The Fontan surgery is the common palliation, and possible surgical options include ipsilateral, contralateral, and intra-atrial conduits. Concerns include lower hemodynamic performances or risks of conduit compression by the cardiac mass.

We studied the early post-operative weight trends to identify specific factors associated with early weight loss and poor weight gain after discharge following congenital heart surgery in consecutive infants undergoing cardiac surgery at a referral hospital in Southern India.
Methods: This was a prospective observational study.
The long-term outcome after repair of tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) is critically dependent pulmonary valve competence that is compromised by trans-annular patch (TAP). We compared a new echocardiographic index [pulmonary annulus index (PAI)] to conventional methods of predicting need for TAP in infants undergoing TOF repair. Consecutive infants undergoing TOF repair were prospectively studied.

Case History: Intravenous drug abuse, presence of valvular defects, pacemakers, immunodeficiency are some of the known risk factors for endocarditis.
Pulmonary vascular disease develops early in untreated single ventricle patients with increased pulmonary flow. Pulmonary artery (PA) banding is done at a young age in these patients in order to protect the lung vasculature and maintain low pulmonary artery pressures (PAP) and pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR). This also enables future completion of the single ventricle palliation.

We studied the effect of preoperative determinants on early outcomes of 1028 consecutive infant heart operations in a limited-resource setting. Comprehensive data on pediatric heart surgery (January 2010-December 2012) were collected prospectively. Outcome measures included in-hospital mortality, prolonged ventilation (>48 hours), and bloodstream infection (BSI) after surgery.

Infective pseudoaneurysms require urgent surgery because rupture of the pseudoaneurysm may have catastrophic consequences.

Objective: We sought to assess the impact of IQIC on postoperative outcomes after congenital heart surgery at our institution.
Methods: The key components of the IQIC program included creation of a robust worldwide database on key outcome measures and nurse education on quality driven best practices using telemedicine platforms.
We report a new technique of establishing a direct coronary transfer for anomalous left coronary artery arising from the nonfacing sinus of the pulmonary artery. This easily reproducible technique was successfully used in 2 patients. It achieves a dual coronary repair without the use of complex aortic or pulmonary arterial flaps and without causing any distortion to the great vessels.

A five-month-old baby presented with a myxoma arising from the anterior, lateral, and superior aspect of the LV, causing severe left ventricular outflow tract obstruction. The LV was accessed through the conal septum after opening the right ventricular outflow.

Objectives: Complex congenital heart defects that present earlier in life are sometimes channelled towards single-ventricle repair, because of anatomical or logistic challenges involved in two-ventricle correction. Given the long-term functional and survival advantage, we have been consciously exploring the feasibility of a biventricular repair in these patients when they present later for Fontan completion.
Methods: Since June 2009, 71 patients were referred for staged completion of the Fontan procedure.
Background: Modifications have been made in cardiopulmonary circuit to reduce the inflammatory deleterious effects and cost. We present our experience of one such right heart bypass (RHB) circuit utilizing autologus lung as oxygenator.
Methods: From September 2001 to December 2002, 15 patients underwent congenital heart surgery with this technique.

Tricuspid leaflet detachment improves visualization and accuracy of closure of ventricular septal defects via the transatrial route. Between July 1998 and March 2001, surgical correction was performed in 296 cases of isolated ventricular septal defect, 215 cases of tetralogy of Fallot, and 16 cases of double-outlet right ventricle. Of these, 132 patients (79 with isolated ventricular septal defect, 49 with tetralogy of Fallot, and 4 with double-outlet right ventricle) underwent transatrial repair with temporary detachment of tricuspid leaflets for ventricular septal defect closure.

Experience of atrial septal defect closure via a limited posterior thoracotomy is described. From July 1999 to May 2001, 75 prepubertal girls with a median age of 7 years (range, 3 to 13 years) and a median weight of 18 kg (range, 10 to 46 kg) underwent atrial septal defect closure through a limited right posterior thoracotomy. All but 2 patients had an uneventful postoperative recovery.
