Objective: To evaluate the usefulness of a cranial implantable chemoport, the H-port, as an alternative to the Ommaya reservoir for intraventricular chemotherapy/cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) access in patients with leptomeningeal metastasis (LM).
Methods: One hundred fifty-two consecutive patients with a diagnosis of LM and who underwent H-port installation between 2015 and 2021 were evaluated. Adverse events associated with installation and intraventricular chemotherapy, and the rate of increased intracranial pressure (ICP) control via the port were evaluated for safety and efficacy.

Methods: Over a 20-year period, 579 original articles were published in the journal Knee Surgery and Related Research (KSRR). We analyzed the title, keywords, and abstract of the article to analyze the research topics and assigned original articles to seven surgical categories as follows: total knee arthroplasty (TKA), unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA), high tibial osteotomy (HTO), arthroscopy, surgery for cruciate ligament, revision surgery, and other surgery.
Purpose: We investigated macular and peripapillary choroidal thickness (CT) and flow voids in the choriocapillaris in eyes with nonexudative age-related macular degeneration.

Methods: Twelve New Zealand white rabbits were included in the study. The 10-mm Y-split procedure was performed in the superior rectus muscle (SR) of one eye, and the 10-mm posterior fixation suture was made in the SR of the other eye.
Objective: To evaluate the effects of applying sodium hyaluronate solution (Protad) intraoperatively during endonasal dacryocystorhinostomy.
Methods: A retrospective medical record review of all 254 patients (254 eyes) who underwent endonasal dacryocystorhinostomy for nasolacrimal duct obstruction was performed. The success rates and postoperative complications of the Protad application group (105 eyes) and the control group (149 eyes) were compared.

Background: To investigate the accommodative loads change needed to maintain binocular fusion in patients with intermittent exotropia (IXT).
Methods: Seventeen consecutive patients with basic IXT and 15 normal controls were recruited. The WAM-5500 autorefractor (GrandSeiko, Fukuyama, Japan) was used to measure refractive error (D) under binocular and monocular viewing conditions at 6 m, 50 cm, 33 cm and 20 cm.
Purpose: To quantify and compare higher-order aberrations (HOAs) in children after epiblepharon surgery.
Methods: The medical records of children (mean age, 7.3 years [range, 2-13 years]) who underwent surgery for epiblepharon were reviewed retrospectively.
The diagnosis of Kimura disease should be strongly considered in any patient of Asian descent who presents with painless subcutaneous nodules predominantly involving the head and neck region in association with marked eosinophilia and elevated immunoglobulin E. Surgical resection of the lesions can be performed to prevent relapse. Here, the authors report a case of Kimura disease presenting as an eyelid mass in a 13-year-old Asian boy with pronounced eosinophilia and elevated immunoglobulin E levels.
