Dynamic Analysis of Sphere-Like Iron Particles Based Magnetorheological Damper for Waveform-Generating Test System.

In this study, a new double pulse waveform-generating test system with an integrated magnetorheological (MR) damper is proposed. Since the total shear stress of MR fluid can be varied according to the shape of particles, sphere-like iron particles-based MR fluid is filled into the MR damper. The test system consists of a velocity generator, three masses (impact, test, and dummy), a spring, and an MR damper.
