This study introduces a technique, termed the "sandwich augmentation technique," which incorporates the long head of the biceps tendon (LHBT) into a single-row rotator cuff repair. The procedure, performed arthroscopically with the patient in the lateral decubitus position, involves attaching the LHBT and rotator cuff tissues together to the greater tuberosity.

A Tension-Band Wiring Technique for Direct Fixation of a Chaput Tubercle Fracture: Technical Note.

Few reports have described direct fixation of the Chaput tubercle; screw fixation is usually employed. Herein, we introduce a novel technique for Chaput tubercle fixation using tension-band wiring. This technique is applicable to fractured tubercles of various sizes and has the advantage that the fragment breakage that may occur during screw fixation is impossible.

In this paper, we present a strategy for a legged robot to stably cross cinder blocks with a limited area acquired from a camera. First, we used the point cloud acquired from the camera to detect the planes and calculate their centroids and directions. Idiopathic flatfoot is common in infants and children, and patients with this condition are frequently referred to pediatric orthopedic clinics. Flatfoot is a physiologic process, and that the arch of the foot elevates spontaneously in most children during the first decade of life. Effect of hot smoking treatment in improving Sensory and Physicochemical Properties of processed Japanese Spanish Mackerel .

Japanese Spanish Mackerel (JSM) (Cuvier 1832) is an important commercial fish species in South Korea. The postharvest handling, preservation, and storage of JSM have not been clearly understood, and therefore, it is very often oxidized to produce off-flavor while marketed as the raw or frozen state. To overcome these problems, the present study was designed to adapt the hot smoke processing technique for improving the sensorial, physicochemical, and microbial qualities of JSM with extended shelf life.

Effect of superheated steam roasting with hot smoking treatment on improving physicochemical properties of the adductor muscle of pen shell ().

The adductor muscle of the pen shell (AMPS) is a popular protein-enriched food item in Asian Pacific countries, and has only been marketed in the frozen condition, as a result browning and decreased sensory attributes occur. To overcome these problems, superheated steam roasting (at 270°C for 4 min) combined with the hot smoke (10 min) using a selective Oak sawdust was employed to develop a new AMPS product yielding high physicochemical properties during storage periods (0-13 days) especially at 10°C. The processed AMPS showed high sensory preferences because of good odor, color, and textural properties.
