The quality (Q)-switched neodymium:yttrium-aluminum-garnet (Nd:YAG) laser is one of the first non-ablative lasers to be used for facial resurfacing and photorejuvenation. Recently, the method of low-fluence Q-switched Nd:YAG lasers known as 'laser toning' has been used for non-ablative skin rejuvenation and for the treatment of melasma in Asian countries. Although ultraviolet (UV) light or exogenous hormones have been associated with the development or exacerbation of melasma, the use of laser as a treatment modality has not been cited as a factor linked to the development of melasma lesions. It is unclear whether epidermal trauma caused by laser or other treatment can lead to the formation of a new melasma lesion. We report a unique case of foreign-body granuloma following botulinum neurotoxin type A (BoNTA) injection. A 44-year-old woman was injected with BoNTA by a dermatologist. Within 2 months of treatment, palpable nodules developed on injection site and biopsy revealed foreign-body granuloma.

Congenital melanocytic nevi (CMN) are pigmented lesions presenting on the skin in approximately 1% of all newborns at or shortly after birth. CMN have been described as being associated with several anomalies, including cranial bone hypertrophy, scoliosis, and spina bifida. This is the first report to describe a giant congenital melanocytic nevus on the scalp associated with cranial involvement, poliosis, and alopecia.

A wedge-shaped anterior hairline extension is a very rare skin manifestation usually associated with congenital anomalies including a Tessier number 10 cleft. Other associated conditions are the Tessier number 9 cleft, the Fraser syndrome, and the Manitoba oculotrichoanal syndrome (MOTA syndrome).
