Orbital involvement in Sinonasal tumours most commonly present as proptosis, epiphora and/or visual symptoms. Post-operative management of chronic rhinosinusitis is very crucial for outcomes following surgery, Normal saline nasal irrigation and steroid spray form the standard treatment of care in this period. However nasal irrigation may not be adequate and spray is usually started after 2 weeks of surgery which in any case does not deliver optimum dosage of drug to the paranasal sinus mucosa. Budesonide nasal irrigation in a high-volume low-pressure system could be the solution for a better outcome.

Thalidomide, pomalidomide and lenalidomide, collectively referred to as immunomodulatory imide drugs (IMiDs), are frequently employed in proteolysis-targeting chimeras (PROTACs) as cereblon (CRBN) E3 ligase-recruiting ligands. However, their molecular glue properties that co-opt the CRL4 to degrade its non-natural substrates may lead to undesired off-target effects for the IMiD-based PROTAC degraders. Herein, we reported a small library of potent and cell-permeable CRBN ligands, which exert high selectivity over the well-known CRBN neo-substrates of IMiDs by structure-based design.

This study aims to evaluate clinical, radiological and laboratory parameters for longitudinal assessment and prognostication in central skull base osteomyelitis (CSBO). Novel radiological score and cranial nerve assessment score (CNAS) have been proposed and analysed along with pain score (VAS), ESR, CRP, WBC count, and HbA1c for utility in disease-monitoring and predicting outcome in CSBO. The gadolinium vanadate nanostructure decorated functionalized carbon nanofiber (GdVO/f-CNF) nanocomposite was prepared by the hydrothermal method, which is fabricated on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) for the determination of carbamazepine (CBZ). The structural morphology of the hydrothermally synthesized GdVO/f-CNF material was investigated by several spectroscopy methods such as FESEM, HRTEM, EDS-mapping, XRD, XPS, and Raman. Moreover, the electrical conductivity of our synthesized material was inspected by the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) analysis, and the electrochemical performance towards CBZ was inspected by the cyclic voltammetry (CV) and amperometry (AMP) analysis under optimized conditions.

Background: A time course analysis was undertaken to evaluate how perioperative process-of-care and outcome measures evolved after implementation of an enhanced recovery after thoracic surgery (ERATS) program.

Methods: Outcome and process-of-care measures were compared between patients undergoing major elective thoracic surgery during a 9-month pre-ERATS implementation period to those at 1-3, 4-6, and 7-9 months post-ERATS implementation. Outcome measures included length of stay, the 30-day readmission rate, 30-day emergency department visits, and minor and major adverse events.

We provide a methodology by which an epidemiologist may arrive at an optimal design for a survey whose goal is to estimate the disease burden in a population. For serosurveys with a given budget of rupees, a specified set of tests with costs, sensitivities, and specificities, we show the existence of optimal designs in four different contexts, including the well known c-optimal design. Usefulness of the results are illustrated via numerical examples.
