Purpose: In 2020, the Norwegian school curriculum was revised, introducing a new cross-curricular subject, Public Health, and Life Skills. The curriculum emphasizes collaboration between teachers and the school health service. Subsequently, a research project, Literacies for Health and Life Skills, was initiated at Oslo Metropolitan University.

Background: Overweight and obesity are public concerns with risk of adverse health outcomes. Health-related quality of life (HRQoL) is lower in adolescents than children in general. An increase in body mass index (BMI) is associated with a decrease in HRQoL.

Motivation is a critical factor in sustaining physical activity and thereby positive health outcomes. This qualitative study explores how participation in a 12-week Internet-based intervention study, Young & Active, influenced the participants' short-term and long-term motivation to increase and sustain physical activity.

Research-based knowledge about their views may contribute to a better understanding of key factors that may foster or undermine motivation for physical activity, and provide knowledge for the future development of interventions. This paper explores experiences of physical activity among overweight adolescents, age 13-14 years, participants in Young & Active, a web-based controlled trial intervention to increase physical activity (ClinicalTrials.

Isatin (1H-indole-2,3-dione) derivatives represent synthetically useful substrates which can be used to prepare a broad range of heterocyclic compounds. In the title compounds, C18H17NO5, (I), and C15H10FNO2, (II), the isatin ring systems are planar and form a dihedral angle of 73.04 (7)° in (I) and 76.

The title mol-ecular salt, C13H15N2 (+)·Br(-), crystallized with two independent ion pairs (A and B) in the asymmetric unit. In the cations, the planes of the pyridine and benzene rings are inclined to one another by 79.32 (8) and 82.

Research shows that overweight and obese adolescents are less physically active than their peers of normal weight. There are good reasons to believe that Internet-based interventions may be particularly suitable for motivating adolescents to increase physical activity, but we need to gain further knowledge of what features are effective and how to design such interventions.

Background: Histopathological confirmation in abdominal tuberculosis is difficult due to suboptimal noninvasive access to the involved area. Peritoneoscopy and colonoscopy provide semi-invasive access to the peritoneum, large intestine and ileocecal area. Information on the diagnostic yield of these two investigation in abdominal tuberculosis is scarce.

Previously, high postmortem concentrations of hypoxanthine have been found in vitreous humor of children dying from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). We wanted to investigate further the accumulation of hypoxanthine in vitreous humor during hypoxia. Twenty-four piglets aged 9-15 days were exposed to continuous hypoxemia (180 min 11% O2, n = 6), long interval intermittent hypoxemia (60 min 11% O2, 20 min room air, n = 7) or short interval intermittent hypoxemia (10 min 9% O2, 10 min room air with (n = 6) or without (n = 5) superimposed ligation of both carotid arteries).
