Article Synopsis
  • Nail psoriasis is hard to treat effectively, and this study explored different treatments, including botulinum toxin A (BoNT-A), triamcinolone acetonide (TA), and a vitamin D/steroid topical combo.
  • Over 24 weeks, BoNT-A injections led to a 40% improvement in nail psoriasis severity scores, showing better results than TA and topical treatments without serious side effects.
  • Though the study had a small sample size and limitations due to COVID-19, it suggests that BoNT-A could be a long-lasting and effective treatment option for nail psoriasis, with effects lasting up to 6 months after one injection.

However, a standard twice-weekly protocol administered 3 days apart may not be practical for patients. This study aims to seek the efficacy of LED treatment in moderate to severe acne, comparing between once and alternating twice-weekly regimens.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a common chronic inflammatory skin disease with epidermal barrier defects which leads to dry skin that is easily disturbed by external exacerbating factors.
