From the Beginning of the Korean Gynecologic Oncology Group to the Present and Next Steps.

The Korean Gynecologic Oncology Group (KGOG) was established in 2002 and is the only organization in Korea conducting multi-center clinical trials for gynecologic cancers. Since its re-establishment as a non-profit organization in 2021, KGOG has grown significantly, now including 207 gynecologic oncology specialists from 76 hospitals. This growth is a testament to the dedication and hard work of all those involved in the organization.

Individuals with Parkinson's disease (PD) experience speech and voice-related symptoms that diminish communication and quality of life. Semi-occluded vocal tract (SOVT) exercises are targeted interventions that, when combined with the positive psychosocial benefits of therapeutic group singing (TGS), may affect outcomes. The purpose of this study was to explore the effectiveness of SOVT exercises, specifically straw phonation combined with TGS, to improve voice quality and mood for individuals with PD.

Unusual Manifestation of Immunoglobulin G4-Related Disease Involving the Upper Arm: A Case Report.

Immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4)-related disease is a rare systemic fibroinflammatory condition characterized by organomegaly or tumefactive lesions associated with lymphoplasmacytic infiltration rich in IgG4 plasma cells. We report a case of IgG4-related disease involving the subcutaneous layer of the left upper arm in a 48-year-old female presenting with an unusual soft tissue mass. US and MRI showed an irregular infiltrative soft tissue mass, indicating possible malignancy or inflammation.

Objectives: To validate the subjective image quality and lesion detectability of deep learning-accelerated Dixon (DL-Dixon) imaging of the cervical spine compared with routine Dixon imaging.

In the Laparoscopic Approach to Cervical Cancer trial, minimally invasive surgery (MIS) has been associated with significantly lower disease-free survival and overall survival rates. The proposed reasons for the increased recurrence and mortality associated with MIS are uterine manipulation, the effect of insufflation gas (CO), and intracorporeal colpotomy. We applied 2 techniques during surgery to reduce tumor spillage in laparoscopic radical hysterectomy (LRH), which included avoiding using a uterine manipulator and containing the colpotomy using an endoscopic stapler.
