Given a directed graph = (), a feedback vertex set is a vertex subset whose removal makes the graph acyclic. The feedback vertex set problem is to find the subset * whose cardinality is the minimum. As a general model, this problem has a variety of applications.

Herein, we developed a plasmon-enhanced fluorescence (PEF) probe for EA detection based on silica-coated gold nanoparticles (Au NPs). A silica shell was designed to control the distance between silica quantum dots (Si QDs) and Au NPs.

Adhesives with strong underwater adhesion performance are urgently needed in diverse areas. However, designing adhesives with long-term stability to diverse materials underwater in a facile way is challenging. Here, inspired by aquatic diatoms, a series of novel biomimetic universal adhesives is reported that shows tunable performance with robust and long-lasting stable underwater adhesion to various substrates, including wet biological tissues.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTris(1,3-dichloro-2-propyl) phosphate (TDCIPP) is ubiquitous in aquatic environment, but its effect on intestinal health of fish has yet not been investigated. In the present study, the AB strain zebrafish embryos were exposed to environmentally realistic concentrations (0, 30, 300, and 3000 ng·L) of TDCIPP for 90 days, after which the fish growth and physiological activities were evaluated, and the intestinal microbes were analyzed by 16S rRNA gene high-throughput sequencing. Our results manifested that the body length and body weight were significantly reduced in the female zebrafish but not in males.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFApathy is a common neuropsychiatric disease after stroke and is linked to a lower quality of life while undergoing rehabilitation. However, it is still unknown what are the underlying neural mechanisms of apathy. This research aimed to explore differences in the cerebral activity and functional connectivity (FC) of subjects with post-stroke apathy and those without it.

Methods: Patients from December 2015 to December 2018 with acute VBAO within 24 h of the estimated occlusion time in 21 stroke centers in China were retrospectively analyzed.
Different pluripotent cell types have been established by capturing pluripotency in different states. Human extended pluripotent stem cells (hEPSCs), recently established by two independent studies, have the capability of differentiating into both embryonic and extraembryonic lineages, as well as forming human blastoids, showing great potential for early human development modeling and regenerative medicine. Considering that X chromosome status in female human pluripotent stem cells is dynamic and heterogeneous, and often leads to functional consequences, we characterized it in hEPSCs.

However, failed reperfusion (FR) with endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) in VBAO was observed to occur in 18-50% of cases. We aim to evaluate the safety and efficacy of rescue stenting (RS) for VBAO after failed EVT.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of nutritional status on the risk of incident PSD and the trajectory of PSD risk.
Methods: Consecutive patients with acute ischemic stroke were recruited in this observational cohort and followed up for 1 year.
Tumor microenvironment has significant influence on the gene expression of tumor tissues and on the clinical outcomes in lung adenocarcinoma. Infiltrating immune and stromal cells not only perturb the tumor signal in molecular studies, but also play crucial roles in cancer biology. The competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs) are useful to explain the post-transcriptional layer regulated by gene translation and play an important role in the occurrence and progression of lung adenocarcinoma.

It was unclear that whether atrial fibrillation (AF) can affect the clinical outcomes for BAO patients treated with EVT.
Objectives: To investigate the association between AF and clinical outcomes, and whether AF can modify the efficacy and safety of EVT in patients with BAO.
Several isostructural lanthanide metal-organic frameworks, viz. (, where Ln = Eu for , Tb for , Sm for and Dy for ), are successfully synthesized through the hydrothermal reactions of 4'-di(4-carboxylphenoxy)hydroxyl-2, 2'-bipyridyl (HDCHB) and lanthanide nitrates as well as chelator 1,10-phenantroline (phen). These structures are characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, and the representative is a fivefold interpenetrated framework with the uncoordinated Lewis base N sites form DCHB ligands.

However, efficient delivery and lysosomal escape remain critical challenges that hinder the therapeutic effectiveness of siRNA. Herein, cationic photosensitizer (NB-Br) is grafted onto polo-like kinase 1 (PLK1) siRNA to form an amphiphilic siRNA-photosensitizer conjugate (siPLK1-NB), which can self-assemble into nanoparticles (siPLK1-NB NPs) via electrostatic attraction.

Methods: Fifty-nine Chinese Han patients with similar demographic characteristics were collected from a conventional bracket group, a self-ligating bracket group, and a clear aligner group. All measurements about root resorption and alveolar bone thickness on the cone-beam computed tomography images were tested.
Introduction: Ankylosing spondylitis (AS), a chronic autoimmune disease, has been linked to the gut bacteriome.
Methods: To investigate the characteristics of the gut virome in AS, we profiled the gut viral community of 193 AS patients and 59 healthy subjects based on a metagenome-wide analysis of fecal metagenomes from two publicly available datasets.
Results: AS patients revealed a significant decrease in gut viral richness and a considerable alteration of the overall viral structure.
The regulation of electrostatic electric fields through electrical stimulation is an efficient method to increase the catalytic activity of nanozymes and improve the therapeutic effect of nanozyme catalytic therapy. Piezoelectric materials, which are capable of generating a built-in electric field under ultrasound (US), not only improve the activity of nanozymes but also enable piezoelectric sonodynamic therapy (SDT). In this study, a sonosensitizer based on a Hf-based metal-organic framework (UIO-66) and Au nanoparticles (NPs) was produced.

PDT directly inhibits local tumors by a minimally invasive strategy, but it seems to be incapable of achieving complete eradication and fails to prevent metastasis and recurrence. Recently, increasing events proved that PDT was associated with immunotherapy by triggering immunogenic cell death (ICD).

Human resistance protein R (HuR), also known as embryonic lethal abnormal visual-like protein (ELAVL1), is an RNA-binding protein widely expressed in vivo that affects the mRNA stability of targeted and is involved in post-transcriptional regulation. Recent studies have shown that HuR is aberrantly expressed in different human cancers and is an essential factor in poor clinical prognosis. The role of HuR in numerous tumors suggests that it could be a new target for tumor therapy and as a marker for efficacy and prognostic assessment.
