Background: Complete revascularization has demonstrated better outcomes in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and multivessel disease. However, in the case of left main (LM) culprit lesion AMI with multivessel disease, there is limited evidence to suggest that complete revascularization is better.

Methods: We reviewed 16,831 patients in the Korea Acute Myocardial Infarction Registry who were treated from July 2016 to June 2020, and 399 patients were enrolled with LM culprit lesion AMI treated with percutaneous coronary intervention.

The oxide and halide perovskite materials with a ABX structure exhibit a number of excellent properties, including a high dielectric constant, electrochemical properties, a wide band gap, and a large absorption coefficient. These properties have led to a range of applications, including renewable energy and optoelectronics, where high-performance catalysts are needed. A reversibly cross-linkable and transparent polymer featuring stretchability and thermal healability is prepared by introducing Diels-Alder (DA)-reactive moieties into polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), namely, a healable PDMS (h-PDMS). Inspired by the fact that retro-DA reactions occur even at low temperatures (albeit at a low rate), we maximize the effectiveness of small reactant products, demonstrating that self-healing and self-integration realized by 1-3 min exposure of cured h-PDMS to methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) vapor is more efficient than that achieved by direct sample heating at high temperatures. This technology is first used to uniformly transfer Ag nanowires (Ag NWs) formed on a temporary substrate to the h-PDMS surface, and further MEK vapor treatment allows the transferred NWs to be impregnated below the h-PDMS surface to afford an in-plane strain sensor.

Recent clinical and laboratory evidences suggest that high fat diet (HFD) induced obesity and its associated metabolic syndrome conditions promotes neuropathology in aging and age-related neurological disorders. However, the effects of high fat diet on brain pathology are poorly understood, and the effective strategies to overcome these effects remain elusive. A dry purified extract of Panax ginseng (PEG) was prepared using a manufacturing process that includes column chromatography, acid hydrolysis, and an enzyme reaction. During the manufacturing process, the more polar ginsenosides were altered into less polar forms via cleavage of their sugar chains and structural modifications of the aglycones, such as hydroxylation and dehydroxylation. We evaluated the potential of BST204, a purified dry extract of ginseng, to inhibit or induce human liver cytochrome P450 enzymes (CYPs) and UDP-glucuronosyltransferases (UGTs) in vitro to assess its safety. In vitro drug interactions of four bioactive ginsenosides of BST204, S-Rg3, R-Rg3, S-Rh2, and R-Rh2, were also evaluated. We demonstrated that BST204 slightly inhibited CYP2C8, CYP2D6, CYP2C9, and CYP2B6 activities with IC50 values of 17.

Nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) ligand (RANKL) was shown to induce osteoclast differentiation by increasing the expression of c-Fos, NFATc1 and TRAP. Salubrinal treatment to bone marrow macrophage (BMM) cells, however, significantly blocked NFATc1 expression and osteoclast differentiation by RANKL. Overexpression of NFATc1 further confirmed that NFATc1 is a key factor affected by salubrinal in osteoclast differentiation by RANKL.

Two ginsenoside derivatives (9, 10) along with 10 known ginsenosides (1-8, 11, and 12) were isolated from BST204, which is a crude ginseng extract fermented by enzyme and acid hydrolysis. Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate whether low-dose anticholinergics combined with an α1-receptor antagonist would continue the effect of an alpha-blocker, decrease the side effects of anticholinergics, and improve the symptoms of lower urinary tract symptoms/benign prostatic hyperplasia (LUTS/BPH).

Materials And Methods: Two hundred nine men with LUTS/BPH with storage symptoms (International Prostate Symptom Score [IPSS] ≥12; storage symptoms ≥4) were randomly assigned in a prospective, multicentered, and single-blind fashion to either the control group (alfuzosin 10 mg, once daily) or the combined group (alfuzosin 10 mg, once daily, and propiverine 10 mg, once daily) for 2 months. IPSS, maximal urinary flow rate (Qmax), and postvoid residual volume (PVR) were used to grade symptoms, side effects, and the impact on quality of life (QoL) at the start of the study and after 1 and 2 months.
