Background: Hypospadias is a common congenital malformation in pediatric urology with surgery being the only curative treatment. Although there are hundreds of surgical methods for hypospadias, no single method can treat all types, and there are still high rates of postoperative complications. We performed this study to investigate surgical procedure selection and perform risk factor analysis of postoperative complications in hypospadias repair.

Exoskeleton robot is an essential tool in active rehabilitation training for patients with lower limb motor dysfunctions. Accurate and real-time recognition in human motion intention is a great challenge in exoskeleton robot, which can be implemented by continues estimation of human joint angles. In this study, we innovatively proposed a novel feature-based convolutional neural network-bi-directional long-short term memory network (CNN-BiLSTM) model to predict the knee joint angles more accurately and in real time.

Effect of Chlorogenic Acid via Upregulating Resolvin D1 Inhibiting the NF-κB Pathway on Chronic Restraint Stress-Induced Liver Inflammation.

Chronic stress can cause chronic inflammatory injury to the liver. Chlorogenic acid (CGA) is known to have a wide range of biological activities and anti-inflammatory effects. Resolvin D1 (RvD1) is a polyunsaturated fatty acid derivative that has inhibitory effects on a variety of inflammatory diseases.

Case report: Reconstruction of the left renal vein with resected autologous right renal vein interposition after excision of an inferior vena cava leiomyosarcoma.

Background: Leiomyosarcoma of the inferior vena cava (IVC) was a rather rare disease with the characteristics of invading the adjacent viscera. Surgical resection is the only potential curative treatment, and radiation therapy and chemotherapy for leiomyosarcoma are not definite. There is few literature reporting the leiomyosarcoma of the IVC.

Analysis in the influence factors of urethroplasty in DSD.

Background: At present, there is no specific research on the factors affecting the success rate of urethroplasty in patients with DSD. The purpose of this study is to explore the factors affecting the success of urethroplasty in DSD patients, and to provide some reference for the surgical treatment of DSD patients undergoing urethroplasty.

Method: We reviewed patients with DSD who underwent urethroplasty from January 2016 to December 2019 retrospectively.

Catastrophic health expenditure among Chinese adults living alone with cognitive impairment: findings from the CHARLS.

Background: The catastrophic health expenditure of older adults results in serious consequences; however, the issue of whether cognitive status and living situations contribute to such financial burdens is uncertain. Our aim was to compare the differences in catastrophic health expenditure between adults living alone with cognitive impairment and those adults living with others and with normal cognition.

Methods: We identified 909 observations of participants living alone with cognitive impairment (cases) and 37,432 observations of participants living with others and with normal cognition (comparators) from the 2011/2012, 2013, 2015 and 2018 waves of the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS).

Real-Time Image Defect Detection System of Cloth Digital Printing Machine.

In order to solve the surface defects such as white silk, spots, and wrinkles on the fabrics in the process of digital printing production, a surface defect detection system for printed fabrics based on the accelerated robust feature algorithm is proposed. The image registration is mainly carried out by the speeded up robust features (SURF) algorithm; the bidirectional unique matching method is used to reduce the mismatch points, realize the accurate registration of the image, and extract the defect information through the difference algorithm. The experiment uses multiple images to verify the performance of the improved SURF algorithm.

Cholesterol sulfate alleviates ulcerative colitis by promoting cholesterol biosynthesis in colonic epithelial cells.

Cholesterol sulfate, produced by hydroxysteroid sulfotransferase 2B1 (SULT2B1), is highly abundant in the intestine. Herein, we study the functional role and underlying intestinal epithelial repair mechanisms of cholesterol sulfate in ulcerative colitis. The levels of cholesterol and cholesterol sulfate, as well as the expression of Sult2b1 and genes involved in cholesterol biosynthesis, are significantly higher in inflamed tissues from patients with ulcerative colitis than in intestinal mucosa from healthy controls.

The influence mechanism of community-built environment on the health of older adults: from the perspective of low-income groups.

Background: With the rapid development of population ageing, the international community has been paying more attention to the health problems of older adults and the age-friendly community. But there has not been enough discussion about the internal mechanism of the community-built environment that influences the health of older adults. The aim of our study was to explore the complex relationships among community-built environment, social participation, outdoor exercise, and health of older adults, as well as the differences among older adults in different income groups, particular attention was paid to the situation of low-income group.

Prediction scores of postoperative liver metastasis and long-term survival of pancreatic head cancer based on the distance between the mesenteric vessels and tumor, preoperative serum carbohydrate antigen 19-9 level, and lymph node metastasis rate.

Background: The shortest distance between the superior mesenteric artery (SMA) or superior mesenteric vein (SMV) and the tumor margin was combined with preoperative serum carbohydrate antigen (CA) 19-9 and lymph node ratio (LNR) to evaluate joint effects on long-term survival and liver metastasis in patients with pancreatic head cancer after radical surgery.

Methods: This retrospective study included 149 patients who underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy for pancreatic head cancer at Harbin Medical University Tumor Hospital from May 2011 to March 2021. The preoperative serum CA 19-9 level and LNR were combined with the SMA or SMV distance.

Molecular-level insight into photocatalytic CO reduction with HO over Au nanoparticles by interband transitions.

Achieving CO reduction with HO on metal photocatalysts and understanding the corresponding mechanisms at the molecular level are challenging. Herein, we report that quantum-sized Au nanoparticles can photocatalytically reduce CO to CO with the help of HO by electron-hole pairs mainly originating from interband transitions. Notably, the Au photocatalyst shows a CO production rate of 4.

Characteristics and Mediating Effect of Gut Microbiota With Experience of Childhood Maltreatment in Major Depressive Disorder.

Gut microbiota and childhood maltreatment are closely related to depressive symptoms. This study aimed to analyze the characteristics of gut microbiota in major depressive disorder (MDD) patients with childhood maltreatment experience and explore the correlation between gut microbiota, childhood maltreatment, and depressive symptoms. A total of 37 healthy controls (HCs) and 53 patients with MDD were enrolled, including 18 MDD patients without childhood maltreatment experience and 35 MDD patients with childhood maltreatment experience.

Phase I 270° single-incision percutaneous spinal endoscopy for decompression treatment of thoracic spinal stenosis.

This study aimed to explore the feasibility of Phase I percutaneous spinal endoscopy with a 270° single incision in the ventral and dorsal dura mater for decompression treatment of thoracic spinal stenosis (TSS). Phase I percutaneous spinal endoscopy with a two-path (posterior and posterolateral approaches) single incision with a 270° decompression was performed in four cases of TSS with compression in the ventral and dorsal dura mater. The affected intervertebral space was located during the surgery, and the ossified ligamentum flavum in the ventral and dorsal dura mater was removed via laminectomy, which formed a decompression space in the thoracic cord.

Study on dust-gas coupling pollution law and selection of optimal purification distance of air duct during tunneling process.

During the excavation of high gas mine, gas and dust often exist at the same time. In order to ensure that the gas concentration remains within a safe range and minimize the risk of workers' pneumoconiosis, we simulated the interaction mechanism of airflow, gas, and dust, explored the pollution law of gas and dust, and obtained the optimal purification distance (L) by the CFD method. The reliability of the numerical simulation was verified by field measurements.

Development and application of an LC-MS/MS method for pharmacokinetic study of ruxolitinib in children with hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis.

Ruxolitinib (RUX), a small molecule inhibitor of JAK1/JAK2, has been identified as the possible novel targeted agent for the treatment of hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). However, due to the lack of randomized clinical trials (RCTs), it is extremely difficult to determine the effective therapeutic dose for RUX in HLH patients, especially in pediatric patients. At the same time, the clinical response of pediatric patients to RUX varies greatly among individuals according to several case reports.

A Web-Based Prognostic Model for Pediatric Genitourinary Rhabdomyosarcoma: Analysis of Population-Based Cohort With External Validation.

Background: We conduct an analysis of data from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database, intending to identify prognostic factors of pediatric genitourinary rhabdomyosarcoma (PGU-RMS). Prognostic nomogram and web-based calculator were developed for potential clinical use.

Methods: Data of PGU-RMS patients were extracted from the SEER database as training and internal validation cohort, patients diagnosed as PGU-RMS from 2001 to 2015 in Beijing Children's Hospital were collected as an external validation cohort.
