In this study, we investigated in detail the regulation mechanism of electron transfer under laser-induced breakdown (LIB) on weak O-D stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in DMSO-DO solutions. Significantly, the Raman activity of O-D vibrations was greatly enhanced by two orders of magnitude due to electron transfer in DMSO molecules. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations showed that the O-D Raman activity was significantly enhanced in the DMSO-DO dimer compared to the DO dimer.

Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC), the most common thyroid cancer, has been linked to various molecular alterations. This study focuses on microRNA-223-3p, whose upregulated expression in PTC tissues appears to enhance tumor growth and cellular dysfunctions. Our findings demonstrate that microRNA-223-3p significantly promotes cell proliferation, invasion, and migration and induces epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT).

The ion association of salts aqueous solutions have long captivated the attention of researchers within the field of physical chemistry. In this paper, we have performed a comprehensive analysis of ion interactions in sodium sulfate (NaSO) aqueous solutions using a combination of high-resolution techniques, including excess (ERS) and two-dimensional correlation (2DCRS) Raman spectroscopy in conjunction with molecular dynamics (MD) calculations. The Raman spectrum shows that two inflection points in the Raman shift of the O-H vibration are observed with the increase in NaSO concentration.

Glycoprotein Ibα (GPIbα), the ligand-binding subunit of platelet GPIb-IX complex, interacts with von Willebrand factor (VWF) exposed at the injured vessel wall, initiating platelet adhesion, activation, hemostasis, and thrombus formation. The cytoplasmic tail of GPIbα interacts with 14-3-3ζ, regulating the VWF-GPIbα-elicited signal transduction and VWF binding function of GPIbα. However, we unexpectedly found that the GPIbα-14-3-3ζ association, beyond VWF-dependent function, is essential for general platelet activation.

As the promotive/complementary mechanism of the microbe-soil-tobacco ( L.) interaction remains unclear and the contribution of this triple interaction to tobacco growth is not predictable, the effects of intercropping on soil nutrients, enzymatic activity, microbial community composition, plant growth, and plant quality were studied, and the regulatory mechanism of intercropping on plant productivity and soil microenvironment (fertility and microorganisms) were evaluated. The results showed that the soil organic matter (OM), available nitrogen (AN), available phosphorus (AP), available potassium (AK), the urease activity (UE) and sucrase activity (SC), the diversity, abundance, and total and unique operational taxonomic units (OTUs) of bacteria and fungi as well as plant biomass in T1 (intercropping onion), T2 (intercropping endive), and T3 (intercropping lettuce) treatments were significantly higher than those of the controls (monocropping tobacco).

The Raman spectra of DMF-water/heavy water binary solutions at different volume ratios are measured to investigate the hydrogen bond structure between N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF) and water/heavy water. It was observed that when V below 40 %, DMF reinforces the hydrogen bond among water molecules through the substitution of a small amount of water molecules within the tetrahedral structure. However, a similar enhancement phenomenon is not observed in heavy water.

Ring skeleton vibrations of aromatic series are dominant in Raman spectroscopy compared with the C-H stretching vibrations. When a laser-induced plasma (LIP) was generated in a mixed solution of naphthalene and benzene, an anomalous enhancement was observed in stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) of aromatic C-H stretching vibrations of naphthalene (3055 cm).
