Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) combined with laser capture microdissection (LCM) offers a versatile framework for comprehensive transcriptomics from tissue sections. Here, we present a detailed protocol for DRaqL (direct RNA recovery and quenching for LCM) in combination with Smart-seq2 (DRaqL-Smart-seq2), which enables high-quality RNA sequencing for single cells obtained from alcohol-fixed murine ovarian sections. Additionally, we provide an optional procedure for scRNA-seq from formalin-fixed sections (DRaqL-Protease-Smart-seq2).

Leiomyomas grow according to estradiol exposure and decrease after post-menopause. In case serious symptoms are caused by leiomyomas, pharmacotherapy or surgical treatment is proposed.

However, no reports have analyzed the combined effect of the inflammatory response with pre-treatment and post-neo adjuvant chemotherapy (NACT). This retrospective study aims to identify factors predicting prognosis and create a novel predictive scoring system.

Moreover, the immunohistochemical expression of TFPI2 in ovarian clear cell carcinoma was recently reported. This single-center retrospective study aimed to evaluate whether TFPI2 can be a specific biomarker for immunohistological diagnosis of endometrial clear cell carcinoma (ECCC).

The diagnosis of sarcoma is challenging because of the lack of specificity of immunohistochemical staining; however, molecular biological approaches, such as genetic mutation, chromosomal translocation, and gene amplification, are promising. In this study, we extracted RNA from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue derived from surgically resected specimens of sarcoma stored for various periods and performed next-generation sequencing (NGS) analysis by MiniSeq using the Archer Fusion-Plex Sarcoma Panel.

The aim of this study is to investigate alterations in p53 and CD44v9 expression and the status of Ki-67 labeling index in a series of fallopian tube lesions of HGSC patients. A total of 45 specimens were analyzed in 16 patients with HGSC, and their lesions were categorized as follows: morphologically normal fallopian tube epithelium (FTE, n=6 samples), SCOUT (n=5), p53 signature (n=4), dormant STIC (n=8), active STIC (n=6), and HGSC (n=16).

In this study, we evaluated the quality of DNA and RNA extracted from FFPE sections, derived from surgical specimens of different tumor types. Electrophoresis was performed using a 4200 TapeStation to evaluate DNA and RNA fragmentation.

Previous reports have shown that lung, liver, and bone are the organs most frequently affected by hematogenous metastasis of cervical cancer, while skeletal muscle is very rarely involved.

Introduction: Magnetic resonance (MR) relaxometry provides a noninvasive predictive tool to discriminate between benign ovarian endometrioma (OE) and endometriosis-associated ovarian cancer (EAOC). Transverse relaxation rate R2 value was determined using a single-voxel, multi-echo MR sequence (HISTO) by a 3T-MR system. R2 with cutoff value of 12.

Cervical MAs are reported to occur in relatively younger patients with the mean age of 27 years, while those in the uterine corpus generally present in postmenopausal women. Due to the rarity of cervical MAs, optimal management for these patients (especially younger women) is still under exploration.
