Background Peripheral artery disease (PAD) may be a useful tool to predict coronary artery disease (CAD) in patients undergoing coronary angiography. If proven that PAD can be a good predictor of CAD, it can help in early and cost-effective diagnosis of CAD. Methodology This observational study was conducted from January 2020 to February 2021 in the cardiology unit of a tertiary care hospital.

Frequency of Cardiovascular Manifestation in Patients With Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Introduction Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic, inflammatory, systemic autoimmune disease. The increased inflammatory burden in RA may result in atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction (MI), and subsequent mortality. In this study, we will determine the frequency of cardiovascular manifestation in RA patients through history, laboratory workup, and echocardiography.

The Role of Vitamin C as Adjuvant Therapy in COVID-19.

Background and objective The anti-inflammatory properties of vitamin C (VC) and the promising results it has shown in the treatment for common cold have prompted clinicians to use it as adjuvant therapy in the treatment of COVID-19. The purpose of this study was to find out the role of VC as adjunctive therapy in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
