The Ebola virus (EBOV) causes severe disease in humans, and animal models are needed to evaluate the efficacy of vaccines and therapeutics. While non-human primate (NHP) and rodent EBOV infection models have been well characterized, there is a growing need for an intermediate model. Here, we provide the first report of a small-particle aerosol (AE) EBOV ferret model and disease progression compared with the intramuscular (IM) EBOV ferret model.

The causative strain, B. pseudomallei ATS2021, was unintentionally imported into the United States in an aromatherapy spray manufactured in India.

Recent studies have indicated that 3DC-associated genes would be more sensitive as prognostic markers for cancer; however, no 3DC-associated genes in prostate cancer (CaP) have thus far been elucidated.
Methods: Candidate 3DC-associated genes in non-malignant prostatic epithelial cells, RWPE-1 and TA2, were selected, based on a comparison of microarray gene expression data between cells grown in two-dimensional culture (2DC) and in 3DC.
