In this study, a method for degrading PET-waste plastic bottles using ZnCl:Urea as a catalyst was developed, resulting in high conversion (87%). The terephthalic acid obtained from the degradation of Waste PET Bottles (WPTs) was combined with copper and zinc salts to synthesize bimetallic metal-organic frameworks (MOF). The effectiveness of a bimetallic Cu-Zn(BDC)-MOF in catalyzing the reduction reaction of organic pollutant dyes (OPDs) was investigated, and the degradation efficiency of individual dyes was optimized, achieving over 95% degradation within 6-12 min under optimal conditions.

To purify hydrogen gas from synthesis gas using a adsorption process, SAPO 34 adsorbent was used. Due to the strong adsorption of carbon dioxide in this adsorbent, it is not possible to recover the adsorbent by reducing the pressure alone, and it is necessary to use thermal operations for recovery. For this purpose, a temperature swing adsorption (TSA) process is used to increase the purity of hydrogen for use in fuel cells.

Considering the limitation of fossil fuel resources and their environmental effects, the use of renewable energies is increasing. In the current research, a combined cooling and power production (CCPP) system is investigated, the energy source of which is solar energy. Solar energy absorbs by solar flat plate collectors (SFPC).
