Drug-induced liver injury (DILI) is prevalent in the treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD). Advanced oxidation protein products (AOPPs) are markers of CKD progression and participate in the occurrence and development of liver diseases. However, the mechanisms underlying the regulation of DILI in CKD have not been established.

Traditional multislice iterative phase retrieval (MIPR) from snapshot two-dimensional measurements suffers from the two limitations of pre-defined support and iterative stagnation. To eliminate the requirements for priori knowledge of support masks, this paper proposes a multislice iterative phase retrieval algorithm based on compressed support detection and hybrid input-output algorithm (CSD-MIPR-HIO). The CSD-MIPR-HIO algorithm firstly uses compressed support detection to adaptively detect the support masks of each plane from single 2D diffraction intensity, and then uses a hybrid input-output (HIO) iterative algorithm for MIPR.

Estimating the 3D structure of the drivable surface and surrounding environment is a crucial task for assisted and autonomous driving. It is commonly solved either by using 3D sensors such as LiDAR or directly predicting the depth of points via deep learning. However, the former is expensive, and the latter lacks the use of geometry information for the scene.

Objective: To investigate the efficacy of recombinant human endostatin (rh-Endo) plus neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) for osteosarcoma (OSA) and its influence on serum vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9).

Methods: The case data of 141 OSA patients presented to the North District, Xiangyang Central Hospital Affiliated to Hubei University of Arts and Sciences from January 2018 to June 2019, were analyzed retrospectively. Patients receiving NACT (methotrexate + ifosfamide + adriamycin) were assigned into the control group (CNG;  = 65), while those treated with rh-Endo plus NACT were included in the combination group (CMG;  = 76).

In this paper, we introduce a novel approach for ground plane normal estimation of wheeled vehicles. In practice, the ground plane is dynamically changed due to braking and unstable road surface. As a result, the vehicle pose, especially the pitch angle, is oscillating from subtle to obvious.

Article Synopsis
  • The proposed method enhances hologram reconstruction quality while reducing computation time by using a non-iterative algorithm with adaptive weighted constraints.
  • It combines a rectangular aperture as the amplitude with an initial quadratic phase to optimize the phase calculations and incorporates subtraction feedback to improve visual results.
  • The approach is versatile, applicable for various sizes in holographic reconstruction, and effective for color holograms, as demonstrated through optical experiments.

The major challenges in traditional color phase hologram generation are the time-consuming iterative procedure and aberration caused by different wavelengths in color holographic display. Based on the original non-iterative phase hologram generation method-optimized random phase (ORAP), combined with the physical limitations of color holographic display, this paper proposes a full-support optimized random phase (FS-ORAP) method for non-iterative color phase hologram generation. FS-ORAP breaks through the limitation of the original ORAP method in the fixed support constraint of the target amplitude in the spatial domain, the full support constraint can be used to generate phase holograms of target amplitudes with arbitrary support size, which fits well with the generation mode of the three-color channel of the color phase hologram.

The random phase method and quadratic phase method are most widely used in the generation of non-iterative phase holograms. However, the former leads to the reconstruction being severely disturbed by speckle noise, with serious loss of detailed information, and the latter leads to the reconstruction being contaminated with ringing artifacts. To solve these problems, we present a novel, to the best of our knowledge, method capable of generating non-iterative phase holograms, hereafter referred to as hybrid-phase-only holograms (HPOHs).

Purpose: A number of studies have discovered various roles of PAK4 in human tumors, including osteosarcoma. However, the exact role of PAK4 in osteosarcoma and its mechanism have yet to be determined. Therefore, this study focused on interrogating the PAK4 effect on the proliferation and migration ability of osteosarcoma and its underlying mechanisms.

Traumatic shock is the most common cause of serious adverse outcomes in patients with severe traumatic diseases such as fractures, and some studies here have shown that the main cause of death from traumatic shock is the impairment of organ function that occurs after shock. In this study, we explored the role of serum kidney injury molecule-1 (KIM-1), neutrophil gelatin-related lipid transporter protein (NGAL), and N-acetyl--D-glucosidase (NAG) levels in evaluating and diagnosing the condition of patients with fracture traumatic shock based on the goal of contributing to the clinical diagnosis of the patient's condition as soon as possible and taking measures to alleviate its progress. 96 patients with fracture traumatic shock were included in the study as the observation group and 58 healthy examiners as the control group, and the observation group was divided into 69 cases in the mild-moderate group and 27 cases in the severe group according to the Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Status Scale (APACHE-II).

Purpose: To determine the effects of peak inspiratory pressure (PIP)-guided intracuff pressure (ICP) modulation of laryngeal mask airway (LMA) Supreme™ during laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

Methods: Totally 120 patients were randomly divided using computer-generated numbers into a control group (n = 60; ICP, 60 cmHO) and a PIP group (n = 60), in which ICP was increased with 5 cmHO each time from PIP level until no air leaks from the oropharynx. PIP, ICP, cuff volume (CV), oropharyngeal leak pressure (OLP) and leak fraction (LF) were recorded before and after pneumoperitoneum establishment.

Urban building reconstruction is an important step for urban digitization and realisticvisualization. In this paper, we propose a novel automatic method to recover urban building geometry from 3D point clouds. The proposed method is suitable for buildings composed of planar polygons and aligned with the gravity direction, which are quite common in the city.

1,1'-[(Ethane-1,2-diyldioxy)di-o-phenylene]bis(indoline-2,3-dione), C(32)H(24)N(2)O(6), L or (I), adopts a trans conformation with the two terminal indoline-2,3-dione groups located on opposite sides of the central ether bridge, as required by a centre of inversion located at the mid-point of the ethane C-C bond. However, in the discrete binuclear Ag(I) metallocycle complex salt bis{μ-1,1'-[(ethane-1,2-diyldioxy)di-o-phenylene]bis(indoline-2,3-dione)}disilver(I) bis(hexafluoridoantimonate), [Ag(2)(C(32)H(24)N(2)O(6))(2)][SbF(6)](2), (II), synthesized by combination of L with AgSbF(6), L adopts a gauche conformation to bind Ag(I) via the two indolinedione O atoms and two C atoms from the phenoxy ring. One dione O atom from the opposite side of the ether bridge completes the irregular coordination environment of each Ag(I) atom.

The factors affecting Shpol'skii fluorescence spectra have been investigated on a spectrofluorimeter coupled with a cryospectral system connected by optical fibres, and quasi-linear spectra were obtained. In combination with the synchronous fluorescence technique, the capability of spectral resolution in Shpol'skii spectra is illustrated. The result indicates that Shpol'skii fluorescence spectra may become a routine analytical tool for PAHs.
